Basic Travel Requirements for Chadians visiting China
Travelers are required to fulfill the following requirements in order to apply for a Chinese Visa.
- Original Chadian passport and old passports, if any
- Your passport should be valid for at least 6 months from the day of arrival in China, with a minimum of two blank pages
- Confirmed return air tickets.
- Day-wise itinerary of your stay in China
- Visa application form duly filled and signed
- 2 recent passport-size color photographs taken against a white background with matte-finish (size 48 mm x 33 mm and 70% face close-up)
- Covering letter mentioning details of travel.
- Original bank statements reflecting transactions of the last 6 months.
- Hotel confirmation details.
- Proof of civil ties to the home country.
- Means of subsistence for your duration of stay.

China,
officially the People's Republic of China is a country in East Asia
and the world's most populous country, with a population of around
1.404 billion in 2017. Covering approximately 9,600,000 square
kilometres, it is the third or fourth-largest country by total
area. China’s
political system was based on hereditary Monarchies or dynasties
beginning with the semi-mythical Xia dynasty in 21st Century BCE.
China as a whole was ravaged by feudal warlordism with Japan during World War II. The Chinese civil war resulted in a division of territory in 1949 when the communist party of China led by Mao Zedong established the people’s republic of China on mainland China. Also the Kuomintang led nationalist government retreated to the Island of Taiwan where it governed until 1996 when Taiwan changed to democracy.
China’s economy has been one of the world’s fastest-growing with its annual growth rates consistently above 6 per cent. According to the World bank China’s GDP grew from $150 billion in 1978 to $12.24 trillion in 2017. In 2018, its GDP increased to $13.5 trillion (90 trillion yuan). Since 2010, China has been the country with the world’s second-largest economy by nominal GDP and the largest economy in the world by purchasing power parity in 2014.
China is also the world’s largest exporter and second-largest importer of goods and also the home to some of the world’s largest tech giants such as Huawei, Baidu, Tencent and Alibaba as it is the world’s most technologically advanced nation. Since 2019, China has the highest number of rich people in the world.

General Requirements for China Visa

China Business Visa Eligibility & Requirements
- China business visa is issued to applicants who intend to visit China for business purposes.
- Covering letter from the company in Chad should be provided.
- If you intend to stay with relatives or friends, invitation letters and photocopies of their relatives' Residence Permit in China.
- Documents of the commercial activity issued by a trade partner in China, or trade fair invitation. The invitation letter should contain:
- Information of the applicant - name, gender, and date of birth
- Details such as the purpose of visit, travel dates, and financial documents
- Details of the invitee - name, contact number, address and business documents.
- Letter of invitation written on company letterhead explaining the nature of the business to be conducted, and specifying the type and validity of the requested visa.
- Application for an extension to the validity of your visa must be made to the exit and entry management agency of the public security organ. The extension will only be granted if the reasons for wanting to extend this visa are reasonable.
- An International Certificate of Vaccination for Yellow Fever is required.
- You are expected to submit the visa application one month prior to the trip.
- If the applicant is employed the following documents should be provided:
- Salary slips for the last 6 months
- Original leave letter from employer.
- Any person suffering from a mental disorder, leprosy, AIDS, venereal diseases, contagious tuberculosis or other such infectious diseases shall not be permitted to enter China.
- Proof of paid visa fees is required.
- Means of financial subsistence for your duration of stay in China should be provided.
China Tourist Visa Eligibility & Requirements
- Holders of the China tourist visa intends to visit China for touring and sightseeing.
- Single-entry, double-entry or multiple-entry are all available for China tourist visa.
- The duration of stay (each visit) normally is 30-60 days.
- Letter of invitation from tour organization or relative to be visited in China stating the exact duration of stay and purpose of the visit is required.
- Before leaving China, you are required to submit your passport and other entry and exit documents to the border entry and exit authorities.
- You are not to overstay the duration of the visa.
- Proof of Accommodation issued by the inviting party or hotel reservation.
- The applicant under age 18 must submit a signed letter of consent signed by both parents, a copy of the minor's birth certificate and a copy of the passports or photo IDs of both parents.
- Copy of most recent bank statement or a letter from the bank of at least $125 per day verifying that applicant has sufficient funds during the stay.

Can I go to Chinese Embassy for visa?
You may apply for a visa at a Chinese Embassy or Consulate-General based on your State of residence. You don't have to appear in person unless required by a consular officer.
Can I work in China with a criminal record?
However, criminal records are not usually recorded in China on a national basis. Therefore, it may be possible if in possession of a criminal record in China(if the authorities have not already deported you) to apply successfully for such a work permit in a different region of China.
How much cash will I need in China?
You are not allowed to bring in more than $5,000 USD, or CNY 20,000, without declaring it and having the relevant paperwork. You should only bring enough cash for your immediate needs, for taxis, snacks, and the like, for the first day or two.
What should you not wear in China?
Shirts that are low-cut, or leave shoulders and backs mostly bare, should be avoided. Similarly, it's safer not to wear incredibly short dresses, skirts, or shorts when you are deciding what to wear in China.
