Egypt Tourist Visa Eligibility & Requirements

  • An Egypt tourist visa is granted to a traveler who wants to visit the country for tourist purposes or visiting a relative.
  • A tourist visa issued by the Egypt embassy or the consulate and is valid for 90 days.
  • The applicant does not necessarily need to be present in-person to submit the application for the visa.
  • A relative or an agent with a valid authorization letter can also submit the application.
  • Applicants of this visa are allowed to attend business meetings, under the duration of 90 days.
  • You can apply for a single-entry or a multiple-entry tourist visa.
  • The single- and multiple-entry visas are valid for 6 months.

  • Proof of paid visa fees should be provided.

  • If the applicant is traveling to Egypt for business purposes, he or she needs to apply for a business visa.
  • Two passport size photos of the applicant with a white and black background. The photo should not be older than 3 months.
  • A valid passport that does not expire for at least 6 months from the date the visa holder intends to leave Egypt.
  • Two copies of the visa application form are required.
  • You can apply for a single-entry or a multiple-entry tourist visa.
  • Booked Flight tickets should be provided at the embassy.
  • Applicants applying for the Egypt business visa must produce their business registration proof, taxation proof, copy of invitation and conference or event registration details.
  • A cover letter from the organization the visa holder will be representing in Egypt should be provided.
  • An invitation letter from the business partners in Egypt. The letter should be faxed directly to the embassy or the consulate.
  • Proof of accommodation or hotel reservations should be provided.
  • The applicant’s income tax returns for the last 3 years is required.
  • If there have been previous relations between your company and the partner company in Egypt, you should provide proof of such relations.
  • Proof of the paid visa fee is required.
  • A document that acts as a proof for the applicant’s funds. It could either be the international credit card or foreign exchange endorsements that should be provided.
