- Japan tourist visa is a short-term stay visa for the purposes of sightseeing, visiting friends, or attending conferences or courses.
- Under the single-entry regulation, tourists can remain in Japan for up to 30 days, but this tourist visa is valid for a period of up to 90 days.
- Foreigners can also apply for a double-entry visa for 2 short trips within a 6-month period.
- Holders of the Japan tourist visa are not allowed to engage in paid work while in the country.
- If you are visiting either a friend or relative, you are required to possess a letter of invitation from your host in the country.
- In the invitation letter provided by your host, the home address and valid means of identification of your host should be written in detail.
- Minors should ensure they provide an unabridged original copy of their birth certificate.
- Travelers are recommended to be vaccinated against hepatitis B, polio and tetanus.
- The visa ceases to be valid after 3 months.
- You are to exit the country on or before the visa expires.
