Basic Travel Requirements for Chadians visiting United Arab Emirates
Travelers are required to fulfill the following requirements in order to apply for a Emirati Visa.
- A duly completed visa application form which is signed by the applicant.
- Valid national passport which has a validity of 180 days from the period of exiting the country. The passport should have two blank pages for necessary stamps.
- Two passport-sized photographs taken with a white background. The passport should not be older than 3 months old.
- Bank statement from the last three months prior to visa application with a positive closing balance. This shows that you can take of yourself during your time in the country.
- Valid travel insurance which covers the duration of your stay in the country.
- Proof of accommodation.
- Return flight ticket to Chad.
- Proof of civil status in Chad.
- A copy of your travel itinerary.

United Arab Emirates Tourist Visa Eligibility & Requirements
- A tourist visa is issued for tourism, sightseeing and visitation purposes.
- Individuals who want to go shopping, attend events or ceremonies can apply for this visa.
- Females below 18 years of age are not allowed to apply for this visa unless they are traveling with their parents.
- You have to submit proof of sufficient funds and accommodation to last the duration of the trip.
- United Arab Emirates tourist visa has both single and multiple entry types.
- The single entry visa grants one entry into UAE while the multiple entry visa allows for several entries within the duration of the visa validity.
- A single entry visa is valid for 30 days and the multiple is valid for 90 days.
- Since July 2018, minors (children below 18 years) who are traveling with adults can get a free visa from the 15th of July till the 15th of September every year.
- Holders of this visa cannot work in any UAE state and violators will be fined or deported.
- UAE embassies do not issue this visa so applicants have to contact the airline, tour agency or hotel they intend to use for the trip to apply on their behalf.
- Please note that the airline, tour agency or hotel has to be the one you will use during your trip to UAE.
- You can extend your visa without having to leave the country.
- Visa can be extended twice for additional periods of 30 days each time. However, the second renewal has to be done before the first renewal expires. You have to pay a fee of AED 600 for each renewal.
- A grace of 10 days is usually given after the visa expiration and counting from the 10th day, a fine of AED 100 is required for every other day.
- On the 11th day of overstaying your visa in UAE, a fine of AED 200 is required and AED 100 for every day after. At the airport, you will also be required to pay an extra fee of AED 100. It is therefore advisable to not overstay your visa.
- Your host in the UAE has to send you an invitation letter.
United Arab Emirates Transit Visa Eligibility & Requirements
- A transit visa is issued to individuals who are traveling through the UAE to other countries.
- This visa can not replace a tourist visa neither can it be used to work or study.
- You must make use of this visa within the first 14 days of its issuance.
- It is valid for either 48 hours non-extendable or 96 hours also non-extendable.
- 48 hours transit visa is free of charge for travelers but the 96 hours transit visa costs AED 50.
- The transit visa can only be issued by the UAE airline you are traveling through.
- For the 48 hours transit visa, a passport with 3 months validity along with a recent passport-sized photograph taken in white background is required. You are also required to have an onward ticket to your next destination.
- The 96 hours transit visa requires a passport with 6 months validity remaining, a recent passport-sized photograph and the flight ticket to the next destination.
- It is illegal to overstay your visa so you must leave the country within 48 or 96 hours after arrival depending on your visa type.
- A transit visa must be processed and approved before traveling to the UAE.
- A departure fee of AED 30 is required at the UAE port of exit.
- Rush fees are applicable to all visa types at an extra cost of AED 100.

When is the best time to visit the United Arab Emirates?
