Cyprus Medical Visa Eligibility & Requirements
- This medical visa allows its holders to gain entry into Cyprus for medical purposes.
- The applicant is to present a medical report issued by a reputable Congolese hospital stating the type of ailment and the reason it is best treated in Cyprus.
- A document confirming the treatment appointment by the medical institution in Cyprus and the duration of the treatment is to be provided.
- Certificate of employment from your employer in Congo including information on leave of absence is to be submitted at the Cypriot Embassy.

- The applicant is to provide an enrollment certificate which allows them to attend courses in Cyprus.
- Proof of payment of acceptance fees and school fees are also to be required.
- Students in possession of this type of visa are to have the relevant permit issued by the Civil Archive and Migration Department for the visa application process.
- The student visa is issued for a specific educational institution.
- If any holder of this visa decides to change an institution, they have to obtain a new residence permit.

- It is also known as a Short stay visa.
- Congolese who are traveling to Cyprus to visit family, relatives, and friends are also eligible for this visa.
- The holders of this visa can enter and exit Cyprus once or multiple times.
- The duration of your stay will not exceed 90 days in any half of the year from the date of the first visit.
- The tourist visa is extendable.
- For a visit to family and friends, a letter of invitation is required.
- The letter has to be duly signed and completed by the host and should include his/her contact details, house address, and occupation and it should also be signed by the Migration Department.
- A copy of hotel reservations confirmed by the hotel manager would be needed.
- An itinerary of travel arrangements showing the arrival date and intended duration of stay must be provided.
- The tickets should be purchased before the visa is issued.
- The visa for the return country should be valid for at least three months beyond the intended duration of stay.
- Visitors to Cyprus are to have original passports valid for at least three months beyond the period of validity of the visa issued(you will have to make photocopies of the passports too).
- A bank statement is necessary to prove that the applicant is financially capable of covering their expenses during their duration of stay in Cyprus.
- If a minor is to enter Cyprus unaccompanied, he/she is expected to provide a statement giving consent which must be duly signed by both parents, then signed by the mayor of their area.

- The airport transit visa(ATV) is for Congolese travelers who are making short stops in Cyprus.
- This visa allows its holders to alight from an airplane in a Cypriot airport and board another flight going to another destination.
- You are not to leave the airport transit area.
- You can be in the state for a maximum of 5 days.
- A copy of a flight ticket to the final destination country is to be submitted during the visa application.
- The visa of your destination country is to be also submitted.
- This visa is valid for 2 days.
- This visa may be issued for one transit, or exceptionally for several transits.
- You must leave Cyprus before the expiration of this visa.
- This visa can not be extended.
- You are not to use this visa for business, educational or tourist purposes.
- Only travelers with a clean criminal record will be issued this visa.
- Receipt of payment of visa application fee is required.
- Proof of incentive for returning to your country is also required.
Cyprus Transit Visa Eligibility & Requirements
- This visa may be issued for one transit, or exceptionally for several transits.
- The visa is valid for 5 days.
- You can enter into the country, i.e you are not restricted to just the airport transit area.
- Holders of this type of visa are not to study while they are in the country.
- There is a group transit visa which has a maximum validity of 30 days issued by the Cyprus embassy.
- The group visa is issued on conditions that members of the group enter the territory, stay, and leave as a group.
- The visa of your destination country is to be also submitted.
- Group visas are issued to groups of between 5 and 50 people.
- The person in charge of the group is to possess an individual passport.
- Proof that you have the incentive to return to your country after your visa has expired is to be provided.
- You are required to exit the country before the expiration of your visa.
- The transit visa is not to be extended.

- The Cyprus work visa is for visa applicants who are traveling to Cyprus for employment reasons.
- This work visa allows for more than one entry and the multiple-entry visa is valid for a year.
