Visa Free Countries for Cubans

India is home to over a billion people, the best cuisine and the tallest mountain range in the world. 

• All tourists from Cuba visiting India can stay in the country for a duration of 90 days by applying for an Electronic visa(e-visa).
• Travellers are advised to apply for the e-visa, at least four days before departure. Also, the e-visa costs about USD 80.
• Intending visitors are expected to possess a valid passport of a minimum of 6 months beyond the date of India. The passport should have at least two blank pages for visa stamping.
• The import and export of India’s local currency are pegged at INR 25,000.
• Also, the import and export of foreign currencies are unlimited, however, amounts exceeding $ 5,000 or its equivalent would be declared.
• Tourists from Cuba must show evidence of a confirmed means of accommodation for their entire stay in India which could be in the form of a sponsor letter from a host living in the country or a hotel reservation.
• Travellers entering India with firearms require an Import Permit from the Directorate General of Civil Aviation in India.
• Cubans visiting India with pets (dogs and cats) must be accompanied by a veterinarian health certificate issued in Cuba.
• A recent bank statement, to show that the visitor has enough money to spend while in India will be required.
• All Cuba passport holders are not required to provide a yellow fever vaccination, they are advised to be vaccinated against common illnesses before departure.
• The importation of remote-controlled drones and helicopters is allowed only with a WPC license issued by the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology.
• Also, the importation of all kind of birds and bird products, pigs and pig meat products is prohibited.
• Prospective visitors can travel to India from any international airport in Cuba There are international airports in Santiago de Cuba and Cayo Largo del Sur.
• Some of the carriers that fly from Cuba to India are Blue Panorama, Turkish Airlines, Cubana, Aeroflot, Air Canada, Air India and Air France.
• The estimated flight time from Santiago de Cuba to New Delhi, India is 23 hours and from Cayo Largo del Sur, it is 1 day.
