  • For a duration of 90 days, citizens of the Dominican Republic can visit India by applying for an Electronic visa(e-visa). The e-visa costs about US$80.
  • Tourists are to note that it is advisable to apply for the e-visa, at least four days before departure.
  • Intending visitors are to show a passport valid for a period of 6 months beyond the date of arrival into India. The passport should have at least two blank pages for visa stamping.
  • The import and export of foreign currencies are unlimited, however, amounts exceeding $ 5,000 or its equivalent would be declared.
  • Also, the importation and exportation of the local currency of India are set at a maximum of INR 25,000.
  • Dominican Republic nationals with firearms will need an Import Permit from the Directorate General of Civil Aviation in India.
  • Minors visiting India alone are required to have a consent letter signed by both parents or guardian.
  • Travellers need to show evidence that they have enough money to spend while in India.
  • Tourists with pets (dogs and cats) must be accompanied by a veterinarian health certificate issued in the Dominican Republic.
