Basic Travel Requirements for Congoleses visiting Brazil

Travelers are required to fulfill the following requirements in order to apply for a Brazilian Visa.


  • Applicants are required to completely fill and signed the Brazil visa application form.
  • An original DR Congo passport valid for at least 6 months beyond stay in Brazil.
  • The passport should have at least 2 blank pages for Brazil visa stamp.
  • 2 recent passport photograph taken against a white background displaying a neutral expression is required.
  • An issued police report from the local police department in DR Congo showing that the applicant has no history of criminal activities in DR Congo.
  • Applicants are not required to overstay the required duration in Brazil.
  • Applicants who wish to extend visa should submit an application at the office of the Ministry of Foreign affairs in Brazil.
  • Minors are required to submit an original copy of a birth certificate and a signed consent note from both the parents/legal guardians.
  • Travel itinerary showing travel details including dates of entry and exit from Brazil.
  • An invitation letter from the host (a family member, friend, tour organization, or host company/organization) in Brazil is required.
  • A copy of the certificate of vaccination against yellow fever vaccination is required from applicants coming from infected areas.
