Application requirements
Documents Congolese applicants need to provide.
- A Congolese passport is valid for at least six months from the intended date of arrival into Egypt. The passport should have at least two blank spaces and must not be torn or altered in any way.
- A completed visa application form signed by the applicant.
- Recent four passport-size photographs (2 x 2 cm) taken on a white background.
- Travel documents should be completely provided during the visa application.
- The Bank statement from the previous three months prior to the period of visa application. This is proof that you are able to take care of yourself during your time in Egypt.
- Travel insurance that has sufficient coverage and is valid for the length of your stay in Egypt.
- Proof of hotel reservation or accommodation for the period of stay in the country.
- A police report showing the traveler does not have a criminal record.
- Onward or return flight ticket to your home country is required to prove your intention of returning back.
- A copy of the travel itinerary should be provided.

Tourist visa
- The Egypt tourist visa is issued to foreigners who want to visit Egypt for tourism purposes, sightseeing and recreational activities.
- Applicants are allowed to visit friends and family with a tourist visa.
- If you will be visiting someone in Egypt, a letter of invitation from your host in Egypt is required. The letter should contain information which includes the host’s home address, telephone number, and a valid means of identification.
- You are not allowed to take up courses to study in any institution in Egypt cause the visa does not serve study purposes.
- A passport with a minimum validity of six months from the date of departure should be provided.
- The Egyptian tourist visa has a validity of 90 days.
- You are expected to leave on or before the visa expires. On no account should you remain in Egypt once the visa expires, it is an offense.
- If employed, you are expected to provide an employment letter from their employer which states their position in the company, the duration of their employment, as well as the duration of their leave.
- You are not allowed to take up paid jobs in Egypt with this visa.
- Minors traveling without their parents or with one of their parents are required to have a copy of a letter of consent signed by both parents. The original copy of their birth certificate should also be provided during the visa application.
- Proof of civil ties to your home country should be provided.
- Travelers are advised to be immunized against malaria, typhoid and hepatitis A and B.
- Proof of paid visa fees should be provided.
- Proof of hotel reservation or accommodation should be submitted.
- All documents to be submitted must be original and certified copies.
- You are to provide travel insurance that covers the applicant's duration of stay.
Business visa
- The Egypt business visa is for foreigners who intend to engage in business activities whilst in the country.
- Holders of this visa are permitted to meet up with business partners, sign contracts and agreements.
- Applicants should have a passport valid for 6 months beyond stay in Egypt with at least one blank page available for the Egyptian visa stamp. Amendment pages at the back of the passport are not suitable for the visa stamp.
- Two copies of a business cover letter printed on the company letterhead from the company you are working in DR Congo.
- The cover letter should state their awareness of your leave, purpose and duration of stay.
- You are to provide an official invitation letter from the Egyptian company you are meeting stating the purpose and duration of your visit.
- Proof of financial sufficiency that covers the applicant's duration of stay should be submitted.
- If your finances will be taken care of by your employer or the partner company, it should be clearly stated in the letter of invitation.
- Proof of previous business dealings between the Egyptian country and the DR Congo country should be submitted.
- Proof of registration and receipt of paid fees for the registration of the conference should be made available for those who intend to attend conferences in Egypt.
- A certificate of business registration of the company you are meeting with should be provided.
- Applicants who own their own business should provide a copy of their income tax return for the last six months
- Proof of paid visa fees should be provided.
- Proof of civil ties to DR Congo should be provided.
- International Certificate of Vaccination of yellow fever should be provided by the applicant.
- Applicants are advised not to make the non-refundable expenses until their visa application is granted.
- You are expected to exit the country on or before the visa expires.

Transit visa
- Applicants of this visa are eligible to make short stops in Egypt with this visa.
- If your stay in the country is less than 12 hours, you do not need to apply for a transit visa.
- Foreigners are allowed to transit through Egypt to their destination country with this visa.
- Applicants are required to have the flight ticket of their destination country.
- You are required to have the visa of your destination country.
- You are not permitted to take up paid or unpaid jobs while you are in the country.
