Tunisia Tourist Visa Eligibility & Requirements
- The Tunisia tourist visa is issued to foreigners visiting Tunisia for the purpose of tourism, sightseeing and recreational activities.
- Two Identical 35 x 45 mm passport-sized photographs with gray background is to be provided at the Embassy.
- Your passport must be valid for at least six months after you gain entry into Tunisia.
- Applicants of this visa are allowed to visit friends and family because it also serves as a visitor visa.
- Applicants are expected to provide an official letter of invitation from your host if you were invited by friends and relatives. The letter should include, the host’s home address and telephone number.
- You will also need to provide proof of the host’s status in Tunisia i.e copy of their Tunisia passport’s information page, or if they are not a citizen of Tunisia, copies of their Tunisia residence permit.
- The Tunisia law does not require to have a vaccination to gain entry into Tunisia but Typhoid and Hepatitis A are two vaccinations that are strongly recommended.
- Minors are to bring your birth certificate and a letter of consent from your parents or guardian. If they are traveling alone they are to also provide notarized consent letter signed by both parents.
- Applicants are expected to have a minimum amount above TND 5,000 if they wish to exit Tunisia with it. They are allowed to export that amount of Tunisian currencies.
- You are expected to exit the country on or before the visa expires.
- Holders of this visa are not allowed to take up jobs in the country.
- All documents to be submitted must be original and certified copies.
- Proof of civil ties to your home country is required.
- Proof of accommodation/hotel reservations for the period of stay in Tunisia should be provided.
- You cannot be enrolled in any institution in Tunisia with the tourist visa because it does not serve study purposes.
- For stays longer than 90 days you are advised to apply for a residence permit from the central police station in Tunisia.
- Proof of the paid visa fee is required.
- This visa is valid for 90 days and takes 21 days of processing time.
Tunisia Business Visa Eligibility & Requirements
- Business travelers can sign and negotiate business contracts with their partner companies while in Tunisia.
- The Tunisia business visa is issued to applicants who want to attend conferences, trade fairs, and business summits, and any other business-related activities.
- Anyone intending to attend a conference while in Tunisia is required to have registered before traveling.
- Registration for the conference is to be provided at the Embassy during the visa application.
- A letter of invitation from the company you are visiting in Tunisia should be provided. The letter should be written on the company’s letterhead and should state the company’s address, the purpose of your visit and the duration of your visit.
- A letter issued from your employer in DR Congo is also required. The letter should state your job position, the term of your contract, and how long you have been employed.
- A certificate of business registration of your business partner in Tunisia is required.
- If you have been involved in business dealings with the company previously, proof of such dealings is to be provided.
- You cannot receive payment for the services you render during your time in the country or take up any form of employment.
- Proof of paid visa fee is required.
- If you are traveling with a minor, the original copy of your birth certificate is required. It should be accompanied by a notarized letter of consent signed by both their parents.
