Visa Free Countries for Ecuadoreans

India is home to over a billion people, the best cuisine and the tallest mountain range in the world. 

• For a period of 90 days, nationals of Ecuador can visit India by applying for an Electronic visa(e-visa). The e-visa costs about US$80.
• Tourists are to note that it is advisable to apply for the e-visa, at least four days before departure.
• Intending visitors are to show a passport valid for a period of 6 months beyond the date of arrival into India. The passport should have at least two blank pages for visa stamping.
• The import and export of foreign currencies are unlimited, however, amounts exceeding $ 5,000 or its equivalent would be declared.
• Also, the importation and exportation of the local currency of India are set at a maximum of INR 25,000.
• Visitors from Ecuador with firearms will need an Import Permit from the Directorate General of Civil Aviation in India.
• Minors visiting India alone are required to have a consent letter signed by both parents or guardian.
• Travellers need to show evidence that they have enough money to spend while in India.
• Travellers with pets (dogs and cats) must be accompanied by a veterinarian health certificate issued in Ecuador.
• Citizens of Ecuador are not be required to present a certificate of yellow fever vaccination on entry into India. They are advised to be vaccinated against common illnesses before their travel.
• Intending visitors can get to India from any international airport in Ecuador. There are international airports in Guayaquil and Quito.
• United, British Airways, Delta and Multiple Airlines are some of the airlines that fly from Ecuador to India.
• The estimated flight duration from Guayaquil to New Delhi, India is 1 day and from Quito, it is 23 hours, 40 minutes.
• The official currency used in India is the Indian Rupee. Visitors can visit various banks and exchange outlets in the country to exchange their foreign currencies.
