Application requirements
Documents Egyptian applicants need to provide.
- Passport with a validity of more than 6 months from the intended period of exiting the country.
- The passport should have two blank pages for the necessary stamp.
- Duly completed visa application form signed by the applicant.
- Two recent passport-sized photographs with a white background.
- Bank statement from the past three months to serve as a proof of a steady and continuous flow of funds.
- Travel insurance which has sufficient medical coverage for the duration of stay.
- Proof of accommodation for the period you will be staying in the country.
- Copy of return flight ticket.
- Travel itinerary.
Visa type details
Visitor Visa
- This visa type is issued to foreigners travelling to the Republic of Armenia for sightseeing, recreation, and relaxation.
- Applicants of this visa may also have the intention of visiting their friends or relatives who presently reside in the country.
- If you are visiting a friend or relative in the country, a letter of invitation endorsed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Armenia is required. The letter must contain the contact information of the host.
- The Armenia visitor visa allows foreigners to conduct business and other professional activities in the country for a short period.
- Other eligible applicants of this visa are those who intend to seek or receive medical treatment that cannot be gotten in their home country.
- Minors intending to visit Armenia may be accompanied by their parent or legal guardian. The original copy of the minor’s birth certificate should be provided during the visa application.
- This visa type is issued for a maximum of 120 days and can be extended for 60 more days if no other term is defined by international agreements of the country.
- An extension to this visa is issued by the Passport and Visa Department of the Police of Armenia.
- Visitor visa is issued for a single entry or for multiple entries with a validity of 1 year.
- All foreign nationals are expected to leave the country on or before this visa expires.
Official visa
- This visa is issued to holders of diplomatic passports and for the persons with diplomatic status.
- Other eligible applicants of this visa are holders of official or service passports.
- An official invitation from the inviting organization is required.
- Holders of this visa can be accompanied to the country by their family members.
- If your purpose of visiting the country is non-official, you will be issued a single-entry visa of 120 days.
- The official visa can be extended for another 60 days if no other term is defined by international agreements of the Republic of Armenia.
- Minors travelling to Armenia should ensure they are in possession of the original copy of their birth certificate.
- Foreign nationals are expected to leave the country on or before this visa expires.
- No fee is charged for this visa.
Transit visa
- This visa is issued to foreigners with the intention of transiting through the Republic of Armenia to the country of their destination.
- This visa type is issued for a maximum stay of 72 hours and can be extended by a further 24 hours.
- The transit visa is extended by the Passport and Visa Department of the Police of Armenia.
- Foreigners transiting through Armenia must present flight tickets of their destination country.
- The visa of the applicant’s destination country must also be provided.
- Transit visas can be obtained without tickets or visa if the applicant is transiting through Armenia by land.
- If you are travelling with a minor, ensure you submit the unabridged original copy of the minor’s birth certificate.
- Holders of this visa are not allowed to work or study while they are in the country.
