Austria Tourist Visa Eligibility & Requirements

  • Foreigners applying for the tourist visa have the intention of visiting Austria for the purpose of tourism and leisure.
  • Egyptians planning a visit to friends and relatives in Austria are also eligible for this visa.
  • If you are visiting someone residing in the country, a letter of invitation from your host in the country should be provided.
  • Applicants should provide a letter from their employer confirming the allowance of the applicant’s leave. The applicant’s job status and the duration of the visit should be stated in the letter.
  • If the applicant of this visa is a minor, the original copy of the child’s birth certificate showing both names of the parents should be provided. A notarized consent signed by both parents of the minor should be presented.
  • Foreigners are not allowed to receive payment for the services they render during their time in the country.
  • You are expected to leave Austria as soon as this visa expires.

  • This visa is issued to business-oriented travelers visiting their business partners in the country to engage in business activities.
  • During business meetings between the applicant’s company and the host company, business contracts can be negotiated and signed.
  • All applicants of the business visa are allowed to attend trade fairs, business seminars, and conferences in the country.
  • An invitation letter from the host company is required. The letter should be printed on the company’s letterhead and it should state the nature of the business to be conducted and the duration of the business trip.
  • Applicants of this visa must present a letter from their employers confirming awareness and allowance of business leave. The contact address of the company should also be stated in the letter.
  • The responsibility of the applicant’s finances in the country must be stated in the business letter provided by the host company.
  • Proof of previous business dealings between the host company and the sponsoring company should be provided, if any.
  • Minors are required to present the original copy of their birth certificate. There is also the need to present a notarized consent signed by both parents of the minor.
  • All documents in Arabic should be translated to either English or German.

Austria Medical Visa Eligibility & Requirements

  • Applicants of the Medical Visa have the intention of traveling to Austria to seek or receive medical treatment.
  • A letter from the applicant’s physician in Egypt stating the nature of the illness and the reason the treatment will be best gotten in Austria is required.
  • A letter from the doctor or medical institution in Austria stating that they are willing to take up the treatment of the applicant is required.
  • Proof of transportability, depending on the severity of the applicant’s illness should be provided.

  • This visa is issued to Egyptians who are travelling to Austria to take up a course of study they have been accepted to in Austria.
  • Applicants who have been accepted into an academic institution in Austria should present the letter of acceptance from the institution.
  • The letter should be printed on the company’s letterhead and must state the course the applicant and the duration of the study programme.
  • If the applicant of this visa is under the age of 18 years, the original copy of the child’s birth certificate should be provided. If the applicant is travelling without supervision, a notarized consent signed by both parents of the minor is required.
  • International students in Austria are allowed to work part-time when school is in session and full-time when on break.
  • Foreigners in the country on this visa are not allowed to seek public funds during their time there.
  • The transcripts and certificates gotten from schools previously attended by the applicant should be submitted during the visa application.
  • Proof of payment of paid visa application fee must be provided.
  • All documents presented issued in Arabic should be translated to either English or German.

Austria Transit Visa Eligibility & Requirements

  • The transit visa is issued to foreigners to go through the international transit areas of airports, without entering the national territory of Austria.
  • This visa allows foreigners to board a connecting flight from an airport in Austria to their destination country.
  • This visa type is not issued on the day of application and may take up to four weeks.
  • Visa and other entry permits of the destination country should be provided during the visa application.
  • Applicants of this visa are required to present the flight ticket of the destination country.
  • Minors applying for this visa are required to present the original copy of their birth certificate. A letter of consent signed by both parents of the minor should be presented if the minor of travelling with one or none of his/her parents.
