Basic Travel Requirements for Egyptians visiting Belgium

Travelers are required to fulfill the following requirements in order to apply for a Belgian Visa.

  • Passport with a validity 3 months from the intended period of exiting the country. The passport must have been issued within the last 10 years and contain at least two blank pages.
  • Correctly filled visa application form duly signed by the applicant.
  • One passport-sized photograph not older than six months taken with a white background. The photograph should not be attached to the visa application form.

Belgium Tourist Visa Eligibility & Requirements

  • The Tourist Visa is issued to Egyptians visiting Belgium for sightseeing, recreation, and relaxation purposes.
  • Foreigners applying for this visa may have been invited to Belgium by their friends or relatives who hold permanent residency in the country.
  • If your purpose of travelling to Belgium is for visitation, a letter from your host in the country is required. The letter from your host should state the relationship between you and your host and should contain the valid contact information of the host.
  • During your trip to Belgium as a tourist, you are not allowed to engage in business activities or be paid for the services you render.
  • If the applicant of this visa is an employee, a letter from the applicant’s employer in Egypt confirming the applicant’s leave is required.

  • If the applicant is a minor and travelling with one of his/her parents, a notarized consent signed by both parents of the minor is required.

  • This visa is issued to business-oriented travelers with the intentions of engaging in business activities during their time in the country.
  • Business activities to be carried out include negotiating and signing of business contracts during business meetings with partner companies.
  • Businessmen and businesswomen visiting Belgium on this visa are permitted to attend trade fairs, seminars, and conferences relating to their profession.
  • An official invitation letter from the inviting company in Belgium is required. The letter should be printed on the company’s letterhead and must be signed and stamped by an authorized signatory in the company.
  • The invitation letter must contain the contact details of the company and state the nature of the business to be carried out, as well as, the duration and purpose of the visit.
  • A letter from the sponsoring company in Egypt is required. The letter must introduce the applicant and state the nature of the business to be carried out in Belgium. The duration and purpose of the business trip should also be stated in the letter.
  • The business letter provided by the sponsoring company should clearly state the entity that would be responsible for the applicant’s finances in Belgium.
  • Proof of previous trade relations between the two company should be provided, if any.
  • All documents issued in Arabic should be translated into English.
  • Receipt which shows that payment for visa application fee has been made is required.

Belgium Medical Visa Eligibility & Requirements

  • The medical visa is issued to foreign nationals visiting Belgium for the purpose of seeking and receiving medical treatment.
  • A certificate from a local physician in Egypt stating the medical history of the patient and what kind of medical treatment is needed is required.
  • Official document from the medical institution in Belgium stating that it can perform the specific medical treatment needed by the patient should be provided.
  • Any other correspondence between the sending medical doctor and the receiving medical institution should be made available.
  • Proof that the applicant can pay for the medical treatment and any other extra costs.
  • If the applicant is a minor travelling with one of his/her parents, a letter of consent signed by both the parents of the minor is required.
  • Applicants of this visa should note that they are not allowed to work or take enrol in any academic institution while in the country.

Belgium Student Visa Eligibility & Requirements

  • This visa is issued to foreigners who have been accepted into an academic institution of learning in the country.
  • Foreigners who have not been offered admission to study a course in an institution in the country are not eligible for this visa.
  • A letter of acceptance from the institution the applicant has been accepted to, written on the institution’s letterhead should be provided. The letter should state the course the applicant will be studying and the duration of the study programme.
  • Applicants should ensure they are in possession of certificates and transcripts obtained from the schools they previously attended.
  • If the applicant is over 21 years of age, a document showing that he/she has no conviction of crimes or offenses under common law is required.
  • Proof that the applicant is not suffering from any disease should be provided.
  • Students are permitted to work for a part-time when school is in session and full-time when school is on break.
  • This visa is valid for the duration of the study programme.
  • Proof of sufficient means of subsistence is required.
  • The documents presented should be in English.

Belgium Work Visa Eligibility & Requirements

  • This visa is a long-stay visa issued to foreign nationals who have been offered employment by an employer in the country.
  • A letter from the applicant’s employer in Belgium is required. The letter must be printed on the company’s letterhead and state the job the applicant has been offered.
  • Applicants of this visa must get a Work permit A, Work permit B, or Work permit C on arrival in the country.
  • The employer should provide proof that there was no citizen of Belgium willing and available to take up the job the foreigner was offered.
