Basic Travel Requirements for Egyptians visiting Cayman Islands

Travelers are required to fulfill the following requirements in order to apply for a Caymanian Visa.

    • Duly completed and signed visa application form.
    • An original passport that would remain valid for about 6 months after the intended return date. It must have at least one blank page for visa stamp.
    • Two recent passport-sized photographs that meet the visa photo requirements.
    • Travel itinerary and a copy of fight reservation.
    • Onward or return ticket.
    • Proof of citizenship which could be a national ID or a valid birth certificate.
    • Non-Egyptians should provide a valid residence permit.
    • For minors, the birth certificate and a letter of authorization from both parent is needed.
    • Proof of financial sustenance for the duration of stay in the Cayman Islands.
    • Proof of accommodation.
    • Applicants above 18 years of age are required to provide a recent police record.
    • All documents must have a notarized copy translated to English by an approved translator.
    • Visa applications for the Cayman Islands must go through the UK embassy in Cairo.

      Cayman Islands Visitor Visa Eligibility & Requirements

      • The visitor visa allows you to visit the Cayman Islands for a variety of reasons including relaxation, recreation, visitation, and business.
      • You can enter the Cayman Islands and visit loved ones, attend summits, meetings, conferences and sign contracts while in the country.
      • An invitation letter from your host is needed if you're not staying at a hotel in the Cayman Islands. The letter should contain full details of your trip including purpose, duration and whoever will be financially responsible for your stay in the country.
      • A valid means of identification of your host should be submitted along with the letter. This could be in the form of National ID or a passport. 
      • For business purposes, the invitation letter is to be written on the inviting company's letterhead. 
      • If there's any financial responsibility taken by the inviting company, this should be stated in the letter.
      • A notarized copy of the registration certificate of the business, as well as any other document that validates the company in the Cayman Islands, is also required. 
      • Documentation showing previous relations with the inviting company in the Cayman Islands is necessary.
      • Applicants travelling to the Cayman Islands for business must apply for a business visitor permit.
      • An introduction letter from your employer in Egypt stating awareness and approval of your trip might be required. 
      • You can work in the Cayman Islands with a visitor visa but you'll have to apply for a work permit before arrival.
      • This visitor visa costs CI$92 and usually allows a stay of up to 6 months based on the discretion of the visa issuing officer.
      • On application, the visa can be extended for another period that is not more than 6 months.
      • For the extension, an application form must be completed. This form should be submitted along with travel documents or a valid means of identity, a ticket, the landing card (E/D card) and the visitor's extension fee which is CI$50 for the first application and CI$100.00 for each subsequent application.
      • This visa is usually processed in 14 days.

      Cayman Islands Student Visa Eligibility & Requirements

      • This is a long term visa for students who have been admitted to study in a full-time program at a recognized educational institution in the Cayman Islands.
      • Documentation showing that you've been admitted to study in the institution is required for this visa type.
      • You cannot take up paid employment with this visa. You're however allowed to take unpaid student work in connection with your course of study.
      • You're required to provide proof of sufficient financial resources for the duration of your study in the Cayman Islands.
      • If on scholarship, you're to submit documents that attest to that effect.
      • You'll need to submit a transcript from your previous institution of learning.
      • For minors, a letter of attorney and a valid means of identification from your parents is needed.
      • Your spouse and children can accompany you and stay with you for the duration of your study as long as you can prove that you can financially support them.
      • Although not compulsory, students are advised to get valid and adequate health insurance that covers the study duration.
      • You cannot enter the Cayman Islands before your student visa is approved. 
      • You must provide proof of accommodation which could be a letter from your school verifying the place of accommodation, a rental agreement or an accommodation statement from an apartment owner.
      • This visa is usually processed in 14 days.
      • This visa costs about CI$92 and is valid for the duration of your study.
