Travelers are required to fulfill the following requirements in order to apply for a Congolese Visa.

  • Passport with a validity of more than 6 months from the intended period of exiting the country. The passport should have at least two blank pages for the necessary stamp.

Dr Congo Tourist Visa Eligibility & Requirements

  • Applicants of this visa are foreign nationals who are traveling to the Democratic Republic of Congo for the purpose of leisure and tourism.
  • If you have been invited to the country by someone living in the country, you are eligible to apply for this visa.
  • An official letter of invitation from your host in the Democratic Republic of Congo should be provided. The letter should state the relationship between the applicant and the host and must contain the valid contact information of the host.
  • Foreigners in the country are free to attend festivals and events that are of interest to them in the country.
  • If employed, a letter from your employer in Egypt is required. The letter must introduce the applicant and state the duration of the applicant’s visit.
  • If you are under the age of 18 years, the unabridged original copy of your birth certificate should be provided.
  • Foreign nationals traveling to the Democratic Republic of Congo are required to be vaccinated against yellow fever, hepatitis A, hepatitis B, polio, and measles.
  • You are not allowed to study or take up paid employment during your time in the country.
  • Applicants of this visa are required to provide proof of payment of visa application fees.

  • This visa is issued to business travelers visiting the Democratic Republic of Congo to engage in business activities with their partners.
  • Foreigners in the country on this visa are allowed to sign and negotiate business contracts with their partners during business meetings.
  • Holders of this visa can attend trade fairs, conferences, and business seminars relating to their profession.
  • The inviting company should provide a letter of invitation notarized by the local City Council. The letter should be printed on the company’s letterhead and must be addressed to “The Embassy of the Republic of Congo”.
  • The letter must state the nature of the business to be performed and must contain the valid contact details of the company in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
  • Letter from the sponsoring company in Egypt is required. The letter must be printed on the company’s letterhead and must indicate the applicant’s employment status and must state the purpose of the applicant’s visit to the Democratic Republic of Congo.
  • The business letter must also indicate who will be financially responsible for the applicant during his/her time in the country.
  • If there have been previous trade relations between the inviting and sponsoring company, proof of this is required.
  • International Certificate of Vaccination against yellow fever is required.
  • Non-Egyptians should provide a copy of their residence permit in Egypt.
