Basic Travel Requirements for Egyptians visiting Germany

Travelers are required to fulfill the following requirements in order to apply for a German Visa.

  • Passport with a validity of more than 6 months from the intended period of exiting the country. The passport should have two blank pages for the necessary stamp.
  • Correctly filled visa application form signed by the applicant.
  • Two recent passport-sized photographs with a white background. The photo should follow the specification for a visa application.
  • Original copy of bank statement from the past three months prior to the period of visa application.

Germany Tourist Visa Eligibility & Requirements

  • The Tourist Visa is issued to Egyptians who are traveling to Germany for the purpose of sightseeing and tourism purposes.
  • Foreigners who are visiting the country to visit their family and relatives residing in the country can apply for this visa.
  • If you are visiting your friend or relative in Germany, a letter of invitation from your host in the country should be provided. The letter should state valid contact information of the host.
  • Foreigners applying for this visa are not allowed to enroll in any of the academic institutions to study.
  • Egyptians visiting Germany are not permitted to take up paid or unpaid employment. If you intend doing this, you should apply for the work visa.
  • Applicants of this visa who are employed are required to provide a letter from their employer. The letter should state the applicant’s job position and the duration of the applicant’s leave.
  • Minors who are unaccompanied by their parents should provide a letter of consent signed by both their parents.
  • Applicants of this visa should provide a driver’s license or utility bill in their names. This serves as proof of residence in Egypt.

Germany Business Visa Eligibility & Requirements

  • Foreigners applying for the Business Visa have the intention of engaging in business activities while they are in Germany.
  • Business people can be involved in the negotiation and signing of business contracts with their business partners.
  • While you are in the country, you are permitted to attend trade fairs, business seminars, and conferences.
  • An invitation letter from your business partner in Germany is required. The business letter should introduce the applicant and state the duration and the purpose of the applicant’s visit.
  • If you are employed, a copy letter from your employer should be provided. The letter should confirm the awareness and allowance of business leave. A copy of your employment contract should be attached to this letter.
  • For stays of over 30 days, a detailed schedule of your business meetings should be provided.
  • Certificate of incorporation of the company you are meeting up with in Germany is required.
  • Proof of residence in Egypt should be provided.
  • You are expected to leave the country on or before this visa expires.

Germany Student Visa Eligibility & Requirements

  • This visa allows foreigners to enter and stay in Germany for the purpose of studying for an intended period of time.
  • A letter of acceptance of studying in the academic institution the applicant has been accepted into to study is required.
  • Foreign students who will be staying in Germany for more than 90 days will get called to apply for a Residence Permit after their arrival in Germany.
  • Applicants of this visa are required to present authenticated certificates of earlier education. This may include transcripts or academic records of previously attended institutions.
  • A copy of the Curriculum Vitae of the applicant should be provided. It should be accompanied with evidence of previous and current internship, or work experiences, if any.
  • To increase your chances of getting the Student Visa, you should use a blocked account as proof of financial resources.
  • Proof that the applicant has paid the visa application fee is required.
  • Foreign students may work for up to 120 working days per year, even if you are already working part-time in an academic institution where you are studying.
  • This visa does not allow foreigners to engage in full-time work.

Germany Medical Visa Eligibility & Requirements

  • This visa is issued to foreign nationals with the intention of entering Germany to seek or receive medical treatment.
  • If the medical treatment to be received in Germany is to last more than 3 months, then you have to obtain a National Medical Visa.
  • Applicants that are employed are required to provide a letter from their employer confirming their leave. The letter should state the duration of the leave.
  • A certificate from a local physician in Egypt confirming that the applicant needs to be treated in Germany is required.
  • A letter from the doctor in Germany who is willing to take up the treatment of the applicant should be provided.
  • Minors applying for this visa should provide the original copy of their birth certificate. A letter of consent signed by both parents of the minor should be provided.
  • Proof that the applicant can afford the medical bill is required.
