Basic Travel Requirements for Egyptians visiting Greece

Travelers are required to fulfill the following requirements in order to apply for a Greek Visa.

  • Passport with a validity of more than six months from the intended period of exiting the country. The passport should have two blank pages for necessary stamps.
  • Visa application form completed and signed by the applicant.
  • Two recent passport-sized photographs with a white background. The photo should follow the specification for a visa application.
  • Original copy of bank statement from the past six months prior to the period of visa application.
  • Travel insurance which has sufficient medical coverage. The insurance should be valid for the duration of your stay in the country.
  • Proof of accommodation for the period you will be staying in the country.
  • Copy of return flight ticket.
  • Travel itinerary.
  • Proof of civil status.

Greece Tourist Visa Eligibility & Requirements

  • Foreigners traveling to Greece for the purpose of sightseeing, recreation, and relaxation are the eligible applicants of this visa.
  • If you have been invited to Greece by a friend or relative, you can also apply for this visa.
  • Travelers visiting their friends or relatives in Greece are required to submit a letter of invitation from their host. The letter should state the relationship between the applicant and the host and should include the contact information of the host.
  • Egyptians in Greece are free to attend festivals and events while they are in the country.
  • Foreigners are not allowed to study or be paid for the services they render during their time in the country.
  • If you are employed, a letter from your employer is required. The letter should state the applicant’s position in the company, date of recruitment, salary level, and the duration of the applicant’s leave.
  • Applicants can apply for this visa for a minimum of 22 days and a maximum of 55 days before traveling to Greece.
  • If you are under the age of 18 years, your birth certificate must be submitted. A notarized consent signed by both parents of the minor is also required.
  • Proof of the incentive of returning to Egypt on or before the expiry of your visa should be provided.

Greece Business Visa Eligibility & Requirements

  • This visa is issued to Egyptian businessmen and businesswomen who are visiting their partner companies in Greece to engage in business activities.
  • During business meetings between the host company and the sponsoring company, business contracts can be signed and negotiated.
  • Foreigners can attend business seminars, trade fairs, and conferences while they are in the country.
  • A letter from the applicant’s company in Egypt printed on the company’s letterhead should be provided. The letter should state the job position, nature of the business to be conducted, and the duration of the trip.
  • A letter of invitation from the host company is also required. The letter should state the duration and purpose of the applicant’s visit. Valid contact information of the company should be stated in the letter.
  • The business letter should state whether the host company or the sponsoring company will be responsible for the applicant’s finances during their time in the country.
  • If there have been previous business dealings between the two companies, proof of this should be provided.
  • Foreigners in Greece are not permitted to receive payments for the services they receive while they are in the country.
  • All the documents to be submitted should be translated into English.

Greece Medical Visa Eligibility & Requirements

  • This visa is issued to Egyptians who are visiting Greece to seek and receive medical treatment that cannot be gotten in their country.
  • Applicants of this visa are required to provide a report from a local doctor in Egypt stating the ailment of the applicant and the reason the treatment is best gotten in Greece.
  • A letter from the doctor in Greece confirming willingness to take up the treatment of the applicant. The letter should also state the duration of the treatment.
  • A letter from the applicant’s employer printed on the company’s letterhead should be provided. The letter should state the date o recruitment, position in the company, and the applicant’s salary level.
  • Proof that the applicant has made payment for the medical treatment is required.
  • If the applicant is under the age of 18 years, the original copy of the applicant’s birth certificate carrying both names of the parents is required.
  • Holders of this visa are not allowed to enroll in any of the academic institutions or be paid for the services they render during their time in the country.
  • A document that proves that the applicant has the incentive of returning to his/her country should be provided.

Greece Student Visa Eligibility & Requirements

  • This visa is issued to Egyptians who have been accepted into any of the academic institutions in Greece.
  • A letter of admission printed on the institution’s letterhead stating the course the applicant has been offered and the duration of the study programme.
  • Applicants should ensure they submit the certificates and transcripts of the schools they previously attended.
  • If you are a minor, the original copy of your birth certificate is required. A notarized consent signed by both parents of the minor should be provided.
  • Foreign students are allowed to study part-time when school is in session and full-time when school is on break.
  • Foreigners cannot seek public funds in the country.
  • The documents to be submitted during the visa application process should be translated into the English language if they are not already in English.
  • You are required to leave the country on or before the visa expires.
