Basic Travel Requirements for Egyptians visiting Hungary

Travelers are required to fulfill the following requirements in order to apply for a Hungarian Visa.

  • Passport with a validity of more than 6 months from the intended period of exiting the country. The passport should have at least two blank pages for the necessary stamp.
  • Duly completed visa application form signed by the applicant.

Hungary Tourist Visa Eligibility & Requirements

  • Foreign nationals traveling to Hungary for the purpose of sightseeing, recreation, and relaxation purposes are the eligible applicants of this visa.
  • Other eligible applicants of this visa are those who have been invited to Hungary by a friend or relative residing in the country.
  • Applicants who are traveling to Hungary to visit their friends or relatives must provide a letter of invitation from their host. The letter should state the relationship between the applicant and the host and should contain valid contact details of the host.
  • Tourists in Hungary cannot be gainfully employed or take up a full-time course of study in any of the academic institutions.
  • If employed, the applicant should provide a letter from his/her employer. The letter should introduce the applicant and state awareness of leave.
  • Foreigners in the country can attend any festival or event that is of interest to them.
  • If the applicant is under the age of 18 years, a notarized consent signed by both his/her parents must be submitted. The original copy of the minor’s birth certificate must also be provided.
  • Proof that the applicant has the incentive of returning to his/her home country at the expiry of this visa is required.
  • If the documents to be submitted are in Arabic, it should be translated to either English or Hungarian.

Hungary Business Visa Eligibility & Requirements

  • This visa is issued to business travelers visiting Hungary to engage in business activities in the country.
  • During business meetings between partners in the country, negotiation and signing of business contracts can be done.
  • Applicants of this visa are allowed to attend trade fairs, business summits, and conferences while they are in the country.
  • An official invitation from the inviting company in Hungary printed on the company’s letterhead should be provided. The letter should have the country’s address, the nature of the business to be carried out and the duration of the business trip.
  • A letter from the applicant’s employer in Egypt is required. The letter should be printed on the company’s letterhead and signed by an authorized signatory of the company.
  • The letter should introduce the applicant, state the applicant’s job position, salary level, and the duration of the business leave.
  • The business letter should state whether the host company or the sponsoring company will be responsible for the applicant’s finances in the country.
  • Proof of previous business trade relations between the host company and sponsoring company should be provided, if any.
  • Foreigners in Hungary are not permitted to receive payments for the services they render.
  • All documents to be submitted should be in either English or Hungarian.

Hungary Medical Visa Eligibility & Requirements

  • The Medical Visa is granted to foreigners traveling to Hungary to seek and medical treatment that cannot be gotten in their home country.
  • A medical certificate from the applicant’s doctor in Egypt stating the applicant’s medical history and the reason the treatment is best gotten in Hungary.
  • Letter from the medical institution in Hungary confirming their capability to administer the needed medical treatment is required.
  • Any other correspondence between the medical institutions in Hungary and Egypt should be provided.
  • If the applicant is a minor, the original copy of the applicant’s birth certificate is required. If the applicant is traveling with one or none of his/her parents, a notarized consent signed by both parents should be provided.
  • Foreigners seeking medical treatment in Hungary are not allowed to work or study while they are in the country.
  • Documents to be submitted during the visa application process should be in English or Hungarian.
  • Proof that the applicant can pay the medical bills and any other extra costs is required.

Hungary Student Visa Eligibility & Requirements

  • This visa is issued to foreigners who enrolled and have been accepted into an academic institution in the country.
  • An admission letter printed on the institution’s letterhead and signed by the head of the institution should be provided. The letter must state the course the applicant will be offering and the duration of the study programme.
  • Applicants should provide the certificates and transcripts obtained from the schools they previously attended.
  • Attestation from the school that the applicant is exempt from the payment of school fees or that he/she has already paid the tuition fees.
  • If you are under the age of 18 years, the original copy of your birth certificate carrying both names of the parent should be provided. If you will be traveling without either of your parents, a letter of consent signed by both parents is required.
  • Foreign students are allowed to work for a period of time as long as it does not interfere with their studies.
  • A copy of the applicant’s Egyptian residence permit is required.
  • The documents to be submitted should be in English or Hungarian.

Hungary Work Visa Eligibility & Requirements

  • This Work Visa is a long-stay visa issued to foreigners who have been employed by a company in Hungary.
  • The employment contract signed by both the employer and the employee stating the terms of employment is required.
  • The employment contract should be printed on the company’s letterhead and must state the job that has been offered to the applicant.
  • Proof that there was no Hungarian willing and available to take up the job at the time it was offered to the applicant is required.
  • Applicants of this visa should ensure they apply for a work permit on entry to the country.
  • If the firm has Hungarian employees, a copy of their employment contracts should be provided.
  • A document which proves that the company has no public debt is required.
  • Proof of sustenance before the applicant’s first salary is paid should be provided.
  • All documents must be translated into the English language if they are not already in English.
