Application requirements
Documents Egyptian applicants need to provide.
- Passport with a validity of more than 6 months from the intended period of exiting the country. The passport should have at least two blank pages for the necessary stamp.
- Correctly completed visa application form duly signed by the applicant.
- Two passport-sized photographs with a white background. The photo should follow the format of a visa application.
- Bank statement from the past three months prior to the period of visa application. This is proof of a steady and continuous flow of funds.
- Travel insurance which has sufficient medical coverage. The insurance should be valid for the duration of your stay in the country.
- Proof of accommodation for the period you will be staying in the country.
- Copy of return flight ticket.

Tourist visa
- Foreigners applying for this visa have the intention of traveling to Kazakhstan for the purpose of leisure and tourism.
- This visa allows foreign nationals to visit their family and friends who hold permanent residence in the country.
- If you are visiting a friend or relative in the country, a letter of invitation from your host is required. The letter must state the relationship between the applicant and the host and must contain the valid contact information of the host.
- A letter from your employer in Egypt is required. The letter must state the applicant’s job position, salary level, and the applicant’s length of employment.
- Applicants of this visa who are under the age of 18 years should ensure they are in possession of the original copy of their birth certificate.
- Holders of this visa are allowed to attend festivals and events while they are in the country.
- Foreigners on this visa are not allowed to engage in business activities during their time in the country.
- All applicants of this visa should submit the receipt of paid visa application fees.
Business visa
- This visa is issued to business travelers who are visiting Kazakhstan to engage in business activities.
- This visa allows business travelers to negotiate and sign contracts with their business partners in the country.
- Foreigners in Kazakhstan are permitted to attend trade fairs, conferences and business seminars relating to their profession.
- An official letter of invitation from the inviting company should be provided. The letter must be printed on the company’s letterhead and must contain contact details of the company.
- The letter must state the nature of the business to be carried out and the duration of the business visit.
- A letter from the sponsoring company is also required. The letter should introduce the applicant and must state the duration of the business visit.
- Proof of previous trade relations between the inviting and the sponsoring company should be provided, if any.
- Documents which show that you have the incentive of returning to your home country is required.
- You are expected to leave the country as soon as your visa expires.
Student visa
- This visa is issued to foreign nationals traveling to Kazakhstan to study in any of the country's academic institutions.
- All applicants of this visa are required to present a letter of acceptance from the institution they will be studying. The letter must be signed by the head of the institution and must state the course the applicant will be studying and the duration of the study program.
- Foreigners applying for this visa should ensure they present certificates and transcripts obtained from the schools they previously attended.
- Students are allowed to work for a period of time as long as it does not interfere with their education.
- Minors applying for this visa must be in possession of the original copy of their birth certificate. A notarized consent signed by both parents is required if the applicant is traveling with one or none of his/her parents.
- Proof that you have the financial means to pay the tuition fee and any extra cost that may arise is required.
- This visa is valid for the duration of the applicant’s study.
- The receipt that shows that the visa application fee has been paid should be provided.
Medical visa
- Foreigners who have the intention of seeking and receiving medical treatment in Kazakhstan are the eligible applicants of this visa.
- Holders of this visa can be accompanied to the country by their friend or relative for the duration of the medical treatment.
- A letter from the doctor or medical institution that has accepted to treat the foreigner is required. The letter must state that the institution can administer the treatment needed by the applicant.
- A letter from the applicant’s doctor in Egypt stating the nature of the applicant’s illness and the medical history of the applicant is required.
- Any other correspondence between the applicant’s doctor and the medical institution should be provided.
- If you are employed, a letter from your employer is required. The letter must introduce the applicant and state continuing employment after the duration of the visa.
- Holders of this visa are not allowed to work or enroll in an academic institution during their time in the country.
- You are expected to leave the country at the expiry of your visa.
Work visa
- This visa is issued to Egyptian nationals who have been offered employment by an employer in the country.
- Applicants should ensure they have been offered employment before initiating the visa application process.
- A letter of employment signed by both the employer and the employee should be provided. The letter must be printed on the company’s letterhead and should state the terms of employment.
- You are required to submit a copy of your CV or Resume with the other necessary documents during the visa application process.
- This visa will not be granted to foreigners who do not have the right qualifications that match the job they have been offered.
- Proof that there was no citizen of Kazakhstan willing and available to take up the job at the time you were offered this visa is required.
- The employer should provide proof that the applicant of this visa will not be paid below the minimum wage.
- A copy of the applicant’s work permit is required.
Transit visa
- This visa is issued to foreigners who have the intention of transiting through Kazakhstan to their destination country.
- Applicants of this visa have the intention of boarding a connecting flight from Kazakhstan to their destination country.
- Foreign nationals should ensure they have the visa and other entry permits of their destination country.
- Flight ticket of the destination country is required.
- Holders of this visa are not allowed to take up paid or unpaid employment while they are in the country.
- If you are under the age of 18 years, the original copy of your birth certificate carrying both names of your parents is required.
- This visa is valid for 5 days and cannot be extended.
- You are expected to leave the country on or before this visa expires.
