Travelers are required to fulfill the following requirements in order to apply for a Latvian Visa.

Latvia Tourist Visa Eligibility & Requirements

  • This visa is issued to foreigners traveling to Latvia for the purpose of sightseeing, recreation and relaxation purposes.
  • Foreign nationals traveling to Latvia to visit his/her friends or relatives residing in the country can also apply for this visa.
  • Applicants of this visa should be in possession of a letter of invitation from their host. The letter should state the relationship between the applicant and the host and also the valid contact information of the host.
  • If the applicant is employed, a letter from the applicant’s employer confirming the applicant’s leave is required. The letter should also state the duration and purpose of the visit.
  • Non-Egyptians applying for this visa should provide a copy of their residence permit during the visa application process.
  • If the applicant is under the age of 18 years, the original copy of the minor’s birth certificate should be provided. If the applicant is traveling with one of their parents, a notarized consent signed by both the parents is required.
  • Foreigners on this visa cannot receive payments for the services they render while they are in the country.
  • Holders of this visa can attend festivals and events while they are in the country.
  • A document which shows that you have the incentive of returning to your country at the expiry of this visa is required.

  • This visa is issued to foreigners who are traveling to Latvia for business purposes.
  • Foreigners in Latvia for business are permitted to negotiate and sign business contracts during their time in the country.
  • During your visit to Latvia, you can attend business seminars, trade fairs, and conferences relating to your profession.
  • An official letter of invitation from the company in Estonia printed on the company letterhead should be provided. The letter should introduce the applicant and contain the valid contact address of the company, as well as, the duration and purpose of the visit.
  • A letter from the applicant’s employer in Egypt confirming awareness and allowance of the business leave is required. The letter must contain the contact information of the company, applicant’s job position, salary level, and duration of the visit.
  • The business letter from the host company should also state who bears the cost during the applicant’s visit to the country.
  • If there have been previous business dealings between the two companies, proof of this is required.
  • Non-Egyptians should provide a copy of a valid residence permit during the visa application process.
  • Foreigners are not permitted to receive payments for the services they render while they are in the country.

  • This visa enables foreigners to join a connecting flight from Latvia to the country of their destination.
