Basic Travel Requirements for Egyptians visiting South Korea

Travelers are required to fulfill the following requirements in order to apply for a South Korean Visa.

  • Passport with a validity of 6 months from the intended period of exiting the country. The must have at least two blank pages for necessary stamps.
  • Duly completed visa application form signed by the applicant.
  • Two recent passport-sized photographs with a white background. The photo should follow the specification for a visa application.
  • Original copy of bank statement from the past three months prior to the period of visa application. This is proof of steady and continuous flow of funds.

South Korea Tourist Visa Eligibility & Requirements

  • Applicants of this visa are foreign nationals who have the intention of sightseeing and relaxing in the country.
  • Egyptians who have been invited to South Korea by their friends and relatives can apply for this visa.
  • Foreigner who are visiting their friends or relatives in the country should provide a letter of invitation from their host. The letter must contain the valid contact information of the host and the duration of the applicant’s visit.
  • Employed applicants must provide a letter from their employer. The letter should state the job position, salary level, and the length of employment of the applicant.
  • You are permitted to attend festivals and events taking place in the country.
  • Holders of this visa are not permitted to receive payments for the services they render while you are in the country.
  • If you are under the age of 18 years, the original copy of your birth certificate is required. A notarized consent signed by both parents of the minor should be provided.
  • The certificate of international vaccination of yellow fever is required.
  • Proof of payment of paid visa application fee should be provided.

  • This visa is issued to foreigners who are traveling to South Korea to develop and foster already existing business relationships.
  • Business travelers can negotiate and sign business contracts with their partners during business meetings.
  • Business activities that can be carried out in the country include attending trade fairs, seminars and conferences.
  • Applicants who are employed are required to provide a letter from their employer. The letter must be printed on the company’s letterhead and signed by an authorized signatory in the company.
  • The letter from your employer must confirm awareness and allowance of the applicant’s business leave.
  • An official letter of invitation from the inviting company should be provided. The letter should introduce the applicant and state the nature of the business to be carried out.
  • The business letter must state who is responsible for the applicant’s finances during his/her time in the country.
  • If there have been previous business dealings between the host company and the partner company, proof of this is required.
  • Foreigners are not allowed to be paid for the services they render during their time in the country.
  • Receipt of paid visa application fee is required.
  • Applicants should ensure they are vaccinated against yellow fever before traveling to the country.
