Basic Travel Requirements for Eritreans visiting Brazil

Travelers are required to fulfill the following requirements in order to apply for a Brazilian Visa.


  • Original Eritrean international passport with at least 2 blank pages and valid for at least 6 months from the date of entry in Brazil.   
  • Signed receipt of the submitted visa application form.    
  • Two passport-sized photographs with a light background.   
  • A copy of your completed visa application form.   
  • A signed cover letter addressed to the embassy.   
  • Visa fee (cash is not accepted and the mode of payment is different in each country). 
  • Proof of your confirmed hotel reservation, flight bookings and travel itinerary for the entire duration of your stay in Brazil.   
  • Provision of a copy of your round-trip or tour ticket.
  • Last 6 months bank statements, 
  • A prepaid self-addressed envelope.
  • Currently, Brazil does not maintain an Embassy or Consular in Eritrea. Eritrean citizens are to apply in the neighbouring countries where Eritrea has an Embassy or a Diplomatic Mission.
