Basic Travel Requirements for Eritreans visiting Brazil
Travelers are required to fulfill the following requirements in order to apply for a Brazilian Visa.
- Original Eritrean international passport with at least 2 blank pages and valid for at least 6 months from the date of entry in Brazil.
- Signed receipt of the submitted visa application form.
- Two passport-sized photographs with a light background.
- A copy of your completed visa application form.
- A signed cover letter addressed to the embassy.
- Visa fee (cash is not accepted and the mode of payment is different in each country).
- Proof of your confirmed hotel reservation, flight bookings and travel itinerary for the entire duration of your stay in Brazil.
- Provision of a copy of your round-trip or tour ticket.
- Last 6 months bank statements,
- A prepaid self-addressed envelope.
- Currently, Brazil does not maintain an Embassy or Consular in Eritrea. Eritrean citizens are to apply in the neighbouring countries where Eritrea has an Embassy or a Diplomatic Mission.

Brazil Tourist Visa Eligibility & Requirements
- The Brazilian Tourist Visa is a visa issued to Foreigners including nationals of Eritrea who wish to travel to the country for the purpose of tourist activities such as sightseeing, visiting family or friends, vacation, and relaxation.
- Brazil tourist visa is a short duration visa with 90 days duration of stay.
- This visa is issued as a single and Multiple entries visa for applicant who wishes for either of the two options.
- The holder of this visa will not be liable to any form of employment in the country while traveling on this visa.
- The Visa is charged $160.00 only for Multiple-entry visa holder.
- Visa fee could vary depending on the region or country you are filing your visa application from.
- Any delay in the issuance of the visa after 30 days of visa processing time, might be as a result of invalid information contained in the body of the application form or improper filling of the form.
- The Brazilian consulate does not issue visa to applicants with any form of airborne or communicable diseases.
- The Business visa is activated on the date of your first entry into Brazil.
- Applicants are to provide an International Certificate of Vaccination for Yellow Fever if you have traveled to any of the Yellow Fever infested countries within the last 90 days preceding your travel.
- You are expected to leave the country at the end of your authorized visa stay.
- An international passport that is valid for at least six months should be provided as it will be required by the Brazilian consular.
- Copy of your completed and signed visa application form.
- Proof of your confirmed hotel reservation, flight bookings and travel itinerary for the entire duration of your stay in Brazil.

- You must provide proof of your financial ability so as to support yourself financially during your stay in Brazil and for your return transportation. Brazil requires visitors to have at least USD 100 per day for staying in Brazil.

Brazil Business Visa Eligibility & Requirements
- A Brazilian business visa is offered to Eritreans who travel to Brazil for business-related matters such as meetings, closing deals, purchase of merchandise, conferences on evaluation of existing contract, discussions for possible investments, media coverage, and filming.
- Business visas can be legitimate for multiple entries during the period determined by the Embassy/ Consulate.
- For a person to be validated for Brazil's business visa, he or she must present a letter stating the invitation of a company, nature of the trip, duration of the stay and set-up on the payment of expenses during the business trip.
- The Brazilian Business Visa is valid for 90 days of stay duration, issued as short-stay in the country.
- The Brazilian Business Visa is of Multiple entries at the charge of $160.00, however, it can vary depending on where around the world where the Brazilian consular you are filing for Brazilian visa application form.
- Your passport should have at least six months of validity left on it and at least one blank page for visa stamps. Keep in mind that the last two pages of your passport are not visa pages. If you are unclear whether a page in your passport is a visa page, check to see if it says “visa” at the top.

- Regardless of the duration of your visa, you will only be allowed to stay in Brazil for more than 90 days per year on a business visa duration.
