Basic Travel Requirements for Eritreans visiting Spain
Travelers are required to fulfill the following requirements in order to apply for a Spanish Visa.
- A valid Eritrean international passport valid for at least 6 months from the intended arrival date and must have 2 blank pages for visa stamp.
- A duly completed and signed visa application form.
- If the applicant is a minor, the parents/legal guardians have to sign the form.
- Two passport-sized photographs (3.5 cm x 4.5 cm) taken on a white background.

Spain Tourist Visa Eligibility & Requirements
- The Spanish tourist visa is granted to tourist travelers who intend to travel to Spain for leisure, vacation, friends and family and other tourism purposes.
- A visitor who wants to enter Spain as a tourist requires a short term visa. This short term visa is also known as Schengen (tourist) visa.
- This visa falls under the Schengen visitor visa with the 90 days duration for people will be spending up to or less than 3 months in Spain and/or other Schengen territories.
- Your visa is will be processed within 15 days should you fulfill all the requirements appropriately. However, this could be delayed in some cases.

Spain Business Visa Eligibility & Requirements
- The Spanish business visa is eligible for Eritrean business travelers who are traveling to Spain to conduct business with their Spanish business partners or clients.
- The business visa for the Schengen Territory allows you to stay and travel within the Schengen territory for a maximum period of 90 days per year. However, you could expend this 90 days within 6 months by multiple travels to Spain and/or other Schengen area.
- Your visa is will be processed within 15 days should you fulfill all the requirements appropriately. However, this could be delayed in some cases.
- Invitation Letters of Spanish companies must be addressed to the Consulate General of Spain in your country or where you are applying from and they must be written in Spanish and must be sent to the applicant by Courier Service.
- You cannot work or be enrolled in or attend any academic institution while traveling to Spain on this visa.
- Applicants must also include an original invitation letter along with their applications as photocopies and scans are not accepted.

- The personal data of the guests(name and surname, passport number, expedition, and expiration dates).
- The kind of trade relations between the partners.
- If you intend to start a business in Spain, It takes 182 days to get construction permits in Spain, with several certificates and inspections required as part of the process.
- Resolving business insolvency can take up to almost 2 years.
- The Spanish company is expected to take charge of the welfare of the guests and of the immigration liabilities.
- Proof of commercial relations with the inviting company must be provided. This proof must include; original Bills of Lading, custom clearance documents, etc.
- All original documents of the Eritrean company that is sending you on the business trip to Spain must be provided. (Certificate of Incorporation or Registration, Memorandum of Articles of Association and Tax Clearance).
Spain Work Visa Eligibility & Requirements
- Eligible applicants for this visa are those who want to take up employment in Spain.
- Your visa duration of stay in the country is at the discretion of the Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
- Confirmation of employment in the country is necessary before you initiate the visa application process.
- A letter from your employer in Spain confirming your employment should be provided and must be written on the company's letterhead.
- This visa is a long-stay visa extending a period of three months of stay in the country which subjects you to seek residence permit in the country.
- The address of the company, as well as your job description, should be clearly stated in the letter.
- Documents you will be submitting should be translated to Spanish or English or as required by the Spanish consulate or embassy in your country, and the documents must be submitted along with your original copies.

Spain Student Visa Eligibility & Requirements
- This visa type is issued to foreign citizens without excluding the Eritreans who have the intention of studying or extending their studies in Spain.
- Foreigners who have the intention of carrying out researches, participating in unpaid internships, participating in exchanges of students or who intend to carry out volunteer services are eligible for this visa.
- The visa is charged 60Euros payable to the consulate except Minors are exempted from paying for the visa fee.
- The visa is usually processed within 15 days but can take up to 30 days in clarification of some cases.
- You are required to present the registration document of a teaching center authorizing you to take part in theoretical and practical training courses.
- The duration of your course of study may depend on the decision of the Spanish consul.
- Certificates relating to the courses you will be studying in Spain must be made available.
- Students who are authorized to stay in Spain for more than six months are expected to obtain a foreign student card before the Foreigners Office or the corresponding police station within one month of their entry in Spain.
- Foreign students who are below 18 years of age will require parental permission if they are traveling unaccompanied.
- All the documents to be submitted by the applicant of this visa must be translated to either English, French or Spanish if they are not already in either of the languages.
- Submission of all the necessary documents for the visa application does not translate into you being automatically granted this visa.
- Applicants who present incomplete, unclear and unsigned application at the Embassy or Consulate will not be granted this visa.
- Take note that payment of the visa fee is not refundable should a situation of visa denial occur.
- You can pay for the visa fee in your local currency to the consulate of Spain in your country or neighboring countries where Spain has a Diplomatic Mission.
Spain Medical Visa Eligibility & Requirements
- The medical visa is available for Eritreans seeking medical attention that cannot be received in their country but in Spain.
- The visa is a short-stay with 90 days duration within 180 days.
- You are advised to apply for your visa three months prior to your travel to Spain for medical treatment.
- If all your information is accurate, you will be issued a visa within 15 days.
- Travelers must already have a valid health insurance coverage of about 30,000 Euros before traveling for medical treatment.
- Whoever will be traveling with the patient will have to apply for their visa independently as they can not travel with the Patient's medical visa.
- Your local doctor in your country should provide your diagnosis. The reason the proposed treatment is best administered in Spain and the duration of the treatment should be stated in a document.

Is shops operating during siesta period?
