Cuba Tourist Visa Eligibility & Requirements

  • The Cuban tourist visa is issued to foreign nationals who intend to travel to Cuba for tourism, vacation, visiting friends and families or other leisure activities.
  • You must have a valid Ethiopian passport with at least 2 blank pages for visa stamps. Your passport must have a validity of not less than 6 months beyond your entry date into Cuba.
  • A Cuban visa application form must be completed, dated and signed before submission. You should note that incomplete visa forms may delay the processing of your visa request.
  • As proof that you intend to leave Cuba once your visa expires, you are required to submit a copy of your return flight ticket to your country of origin. The document must show the dates of entry and exit to/from Cuba.
  • Payment of the visa fee must be made in cash, by means of a certified bank payment or bank transfer. Evidence of payment must be provided.
  • The Cuban tourist visa allows a maximum stay of 30 days in the country and costs $75 to process.

Cuba Business Visa Eligibility & Requirements

  • Ethiopians who intend to travel to Cuba to engage in any business activity need a Cuban business visa.
  • You must have a valid Ethiopian passport with at least 2 blank pages for visa stamps. Your passport must have a validity of not less than 6 months beyond your departure date from Cuba.
  • A visa application form must be fully completed and signed by the applicant before submission. An incomplete visa application form might delay the processing of your visa application.
  • You must also submit a signed business letter from the partner company in Cuba stating the purpose of your travel.
  • You are required to provide proof of sufficient funds for the entire duration of your stay in Cuba. This could be in the form of your most recent bank account statements.
  • If your company will be sponsoring your trip, you should submit a letter signed by an authorised officer in your company stating the purpose of your travel and guarantee that the company will cover your expenses for the entire duration of your stay in Cuba.
  • You are required to provide a copy of your return flight ticket to your country of origin as proof that you intend to leave Cuba once your visa expires.
  • Without a business visa, you are not authorised to engage in any business activity while in Cuba.
  • You are required to present proof of the payment of the visa fee.
  • Payment of the visa fee must be made in cash, by means of a certified bank payment or bank transfer.
