Gambia Transport Service Company was established on the 22nd July 2013 as a private limited company that aims at providing safe, reliable and affordable bus transportation services to the Gambia as a nation and sub-region.
Gambia Transport Service Company (GTSC) has one of the largest infrastructures in the country's transportation industry with well-organized offices and support depots in Kanifing, Essau, Soma, Basse, Brikama and Farafenni. Since inception, the company has sold over 10 million tickets, transporting people and goods over 11 million kilometers across the Gambia. Each year, the company invests in new vehicles ranging in capacity from 29 to 55 seats.
Currently, GTSC has about 68 buses and coaches, 15 of which were acquired in 2016. Safe and secure luggage compartments are also available. GTSC has made over half a billion dalasi in revenue. The company is expecting to incur a profit of over D1 million in the year ending 2017.
