Algeria Tourist Visa Eligibility & Requirements

  • This type of visa is delivered to applicants who want to visit Algeria for tourism.
  • Under normal conditions, the Algerian tourist visa is processed under 8 business days.
  • Visa applicants must be ready to submit a proof of hotel reservation or other means of accommodation to be used while in Algeria.
  • A notarized invitation letter from your host or travel agency is also needed.
  •  You may be asked to provide a $160 money order as part of the application.
  • All details must be filled in the application form as incomplete applications will not be processed.
  • The Consulate is not required to inform applicants of their incomplete applications.
  • Incomplete applications with return envelopes will be sent back.
  • Application form MUST be filled out on screen, printed and then dated and hand signed. Handwritten forms are not accepted.
  • Photos should be glued on the box reserved for photo at the upper right side of the application form.
  • There is only ONE application form but you have to submit two copies with a glued photo on each copy.

  • With this visa, they can attend business meetings, conclude contracts and attend conferences.
  • Holders of a business visa are NOT permitted to take up paid work while in Algeria.
  • The Algerian business visa cannot be replaced by a work visa.

  • The applicant must submit an employment letter providing a brief presentation of the company and stating his/her job title or position at the company.

  • Submitting all the required documentation does not guarantee the issuance of a visa.
  • In case your visa application was not approved, the visa office is not required to provide the reasons.

  • The Algerian student visa is issued to students who want to study in Algeria.
  • An acceptance letter from an Algerian educational institution is required during the application.
  • Under normal conditions, the student visa is processed under 8 business days.
  • Visa applicants must submit proof of financial resources enough to see them through the duration of the study.
  • The applicant’s passport should be valid for at least six months.
  • Application forms with missing information will not be processed. All boxes must be filled.
  • You should not fold your documents — always use wide envelopes.
  • Do not put more than three (03) applications in one envelope.
  • The visa processing time may vary according to the type of visa and nationality of the applicant.
