Travelers are required to fulfill the following requirements in order to apply for a Kuwaiti Visa.

Kuwait Tourist Visa Eligibility & Requirements

  • This is the type of visa issued to persons who intend to visit Kuwait for tourism purposes.
  • You can also visit family and friends while on this visa.
  • All visitors to Kuwait must carry a valid passport.
  •  The government of Kuwait recently simplified the processes of getting a visa to the country .
  • Visa applicants need to submit an invitation letter from a family member or host living in Kuwait.
  • This letter should clearly state the address and contact details of the host, as well as your relationship with them.
  •  During the visa application, you will need to provide proof of sufficient funds to last the duration of your stay.
  • You are advised to exit the country before your visa expires.
  • Proof of yellow fever vaccination may also be needed.
  • This visa does not serve study purposes. You cannot be enrolled in any of the institutions of learning in the country.

Kuwait Business Visa Eligibility & Requirements

  • This is the type of visa issued to Ghanaians traveling to Kuwait for business purposes.
  • You will need to provide an invitation letter from the Kuwait company you will be visiting.
  • This letter will also contain their detailed address, accompanied with the date and actual purpose of your trip.
  • If the intention is to attend a meeting or seminar, confirmation/invitation from the conference organizer/institution is required.
  • If you are employed, you will have to present a certificate from your employer stating or allowing your business travel.
  • Proof of sufficient funds to cover the costs of stay (e.g. bank statement for 2 recent months) is required.
  • Self-employed people may need to submit proof of business registration.
  • You cannot be gainfully employed while you are in the country with this visa.
  • It must be made clear whether your trip will be sponsored by the employer or the local company.

Kuwait Student Visa Eligibility & Requirements

  • An international student who wants to pursue an educational course in Kuwait will have to obtain a student visa.
  • The Kuwait student visa is a long-term visa granted to students who have already been accepted for admission by a recognized educational institute in Kuwait.
  • The student visa must be obtained before entry into the country.
  • To be eligible for a Kuwait student visa, you must provide proof of having being accepted as a student by a recognized Kuwaiti university.
  • You must also provide proof of full payment of tuition fees for the course.
  • Your medical insurance must cover the total number of days you will be staying in Kuwait as a student.
  • Student visa applicants are also required to submit a medical report showing they are HIV/AIDS free.
  • Proof of yellow fever vaccination may also be needed.

Kuwait Work Visa Eligibility & Requirements

  • If you are a foreigner and have a job ready for you in Kuwait, you need to get a work visa.
  • You need to know that the work visa and work permit are two different things.
  • You must work with your employer to secure your work permit first.
  • Find full details on the process of securing a work permit on the Kuwait Ministry official website.
  • After you have secured the work permit, you can now go ahead with the processing of your work entry visa at your closest embassy or consulate.
  • All members of the GCC are entitled to work in Kuwait automatically without having to go through any formalities.
  • If you have been a resident of Kuwait for twenty years or more you can sponsor yourself if you can prove you are financially able to do so.
  • Travelers arriving from areas affected by cholera and yellow fever may need proof of inoculation.
  • Persons from areas where there has been an outbreak of certain communicable diseases may be required to undergo a medical examination a few days after arrival.
  • Fees should be paid by cash, money order or company check. Personal checks are not accepted.
