Entry Requirements

  • Ghanaian passport holders can stay in Zimbabwe visa-free for 90 days.  
  • All visitors to Zimbabwe need to present a valid passport, return transportation ticket, and proof of sufficient funds.
  • Your passport must be valid for six months from the date of entry into the country with at least three blank visa pages for entry and exit stamps.
  • Visitors are allowed to extend their stay at the discretion of an Immigration Officer. The maximum period by which you can extend your visa is 6 months. 
  • If you intend to exit Zimbabwe with more than $2000, you must declare it before entry into Zimbabwe. 
  • Ghanaians visiting Zimbabwe with pets must obtain a certificate of vaccination and must obtain a certificate of vaccination from the embassy or the high commission.
  • Ghanaians visiting Zimbabwe must check for hepatitis A, hepatitis B, typhoid, cholera, yellow fever, rabies, meningitis, polio, measles, mumps, and rubella (MMR), Tdap (tetanus, diphtheria, and pertussis), chickenpox, shingles, pneumonia, and influenza vaccines.
  • Direct flights are available from the Kotoka International Airport Accra, Ghana to Harare, Zimbabwe. The estimated flight time is between 5 - 6 hours.
  • Christianity is the most widely practiced religion in Zimbabwe.
  • Because the time zone currently used in Zimbabwe is the Central Africa Time (GMT+2), Zimbabwe is 2 hours ahead of Ghana.
