Chad Tourist Visa Eligibility & Requirements

  • The Chad Tourist visa is mainly for travellers coming to Chad for tourism, sight-seeing, family visits and pleasure purposes. 
  • Foreigners who are visiting Chad to see their friends and relatives are also eligible for this type of visa
  • The processing time of a Chadian tourist visa is usually 7 days.
  • The tourist visa is valid for 90 days.
  • The visa can be extended during your stay in Chad. 
  •  You are required to provide three passports signed and taken in a plain white background. 
  • The validity of your passports should be at least six months. And also, it must have two blank pages which would be used for the stamps during the visa issuance. 
  • Citizens of Guinea Bissau are expected to submit a generated flight itinerary from a travel agency or airline. 
  •   Applicants are meant to submit original application forms each completely signed. 
  • A bank statement that is not more six months will have to provided to prove your financial status and ability to handle all expenses during your stay in Chad. 
  •   An appointment has to made first by writing to the Chad Consulate. 
  • A copy of a return ticket should be provided. But in cases when a traveller have no onward ticket or return ticket, they are expected to make a deposit at the Public Treasury which equals to the cost price of the return ticket.  The deposit is paid back when you are about to leave Chad. 
  • Travellers entering  Chad with your pets(cats and dogs are expected to have a veterinary certificate of good health issued to you in your home country.  A certificate of vaccination against rabies is required too. 
  • Foreign visitors travelling to Chad have no restrictions to the amount of local currencies that they can import as long as it is declared on arrival. 
  • Employed applicants are to prove their employment by providing a document that serves as evidence.
  • A minor is expected to submit a copy of their birth certificate. A notarized consent signed by both parents of the minor. 
  • Holders of a Chad Visa are not allowed to engage in any work activities. 
  • A Yellow fever vaccination certificate is required. 

Chad Business Visa Eligibility & Requirements

  • The Chad Business Visa is for business travelers who want to visit  Chad for business activities.
  • Applicants of this visa are allowed to negotiate and sign contracts with their partner companies in Chad.
  • Holders of this visa can attend conferences, business summits and trade fairs in Chad. 
  • An official letter of invitation from the host company stating your relationship with the host and purpose of travel is required. The letter has to state the duration of stay,  the place where you intend to stay and the company’s contact information. 
  • Employees are to provide an employment letter which declares their employment status. 
  • Self-employed applicants have to submit a certificate of their business and income tax return. 
  • The business letter must state who will be sponsoring the applicant’s expenses including the contact information of the host or sponsor.  
  • If previous dealings exists, there should be documents which support it.  
  •  A receipt of paid visa application is required. 
  • Guinea Bissau business travellers trying to gain entry should ensure they are vaccinated against yellow fever.

Chad Transit Visa Eligibility & Requirements

  • Guinea Bissau citizens who wish to make short stops in Chad will need a transit visa. 
  • When you want to board a connecting flight from an Airport in Chad to another country, you are to apply for a transit visa.
  • The visa and other entry permits of the other country are required to process your transit visa and allow you to gain entry. 
  • Foreigners should ensure they have a flight ticket to the country they are travelling to from Chad.
  • Travelling from Guinea Bissau to Chad and from Chad back to Guinea Bissau cannot be regarded as transit.
  • The Transit Visa cannot be extended.
  • Minors are expected to have the original copy of their birth certificate and a letter of consent signed by both their parents.
