New Zealand Visitor Visa Eligibility & Requirements
- The New Zealand visitor visa is meant for tourism and visitation purposes.
- The validity is for 90 days.
- The visa can be renewed and applied for multiple entries.
- A group of travellers travelling for the same purpose and have the same travel arrangements, can obtain a New Zealand Group Visitor Visa.
- The group must travel to and leave New Zealand together. The group leader must complete the group application and each individual also needs to complete a visitor visa application.

- A customs officer at the Port of Entry into New Zealand may examine items such as mobile phones, iPads, Android tablets, hard drives, laptops, and digital cameras. The Officer may ask for your password or ask you to enter it. Fines of up to 5,000 NZD may be enforced for failure to comply. Passwords are not kept, nor is personal data altered.
- New Zealand has very strict biosecurity procedures to prevent the introduction of harmful pests and diseases. All bio-security-risk goods must be declared or disposed of in marked amnesty bins at air and seaports.
- Visitors have to declare any goods considered to be a biosecurity risk, you can receive an instant fine of 400 NZD.

New Zealand Student Visa Eligibility & Requirements
- Foreigners are allowed to study full-time in any institution of their choice in New Zealand with a student visa.
- This visa is valid for 90 days but can be extended.
- Citizens of Guinea Bissau applying for this visa must have been accepted into one of New Zealand's recognized institutions.
- You are expected to have an admission letter from the institution you have been accepted into must be provided. The letter should state the course title, duration and if possible all the study fees applicable.
- Students are to provide certificates and transcripts of the previous schools they attended.
- You must take and pass an English language proficiency test (either PTE or IELTS). For PTE. Your score must fall between the range of 43-50 while for IELTS, a minimum overall band score of 5.5 is acceptable.
- Citizens of Guinea Bissau studying in New Zealand can work part-time for 20 hours per week when school is in session and full-time when school is on break.
- You are expected to have enough funds to cover your expenses while in New Zealand. They must have between $800 - $1000 every week during their entire stay in the country.
- If you’re spending six months or more here in New Zealand you may need to be screened for tuberculosis.
- As a student in New Zealand you are allowed to obtain residence permit at the end of their study program in New Zealand.
- The visa is extendable. The extension can up to the duration of your study.
New Zealand Work Visa Eligibility & Requirements
- The New Zealand work visa allows citizens of Guinea Bissau to take jobs or employment in New Zealand.
- Those eligible for this visa are those who have been offered a job in New Zealand and are available to work.
- The students must be 18 and 30 years of age to be eligible for a New Zealand work visa.

- Those who do not have the appropriate qualification for the job they were offered will not be issued this visa.
- You are allowed to apply for a residence permit as a holder of a work visa.
