Basic Travel Requirements for Indians visiting Italy
Travelers are required to fulfill the following requirements in order to apply for a Italian Visa.
- A duly completed and signed visa application form.
- A passport valid for at least 6 months after the intended arrival date.
- Two (2) blank pages of the passport are needed for visa stamps.
- Two recent passport-sized photographs (3.5 cm x 4.5 cm) taken on a white background
- A valid travel medical insurance of 30,000 euros to cover the entire duration of stay.
- A copy of your flight itinerary for the duration of the visit.
- A letter of invitation from a host in Italy(if invited by a party in Italy).
- A 3-month bank statement of the visa applicant.
- A financial support indication from a sponsor (in the form of a notary statement or letter if the applicant's travel is sponsored).
- Proof of accommodation.
- A copy of the applicant's return flight ticket.
- Documents showing the applicant’s ties to India.
- Documents confirming the purpose of travel.

Italy Tourist Visa Eligibility & Requirements
- This visa is issued as a short-stay visa to applicants who want to enter Italy for purposes such as tourism, business, and other short term purposes.
- Foreigners wishing to enter Italy for short-stays can do so by obtaining a Schengen Visa to Italy.
- This visa is usually issued for one, two or multiple entries and it is valid for 90 days within a 180-days period.
- The applicant's passport should have a validity of 6 months from the date of departure.
- Applicants are required to submit their personal bank statements for the application.
- During the visa application, you will need to provide proof of sufficient funds to last the duration of your stay.
- For business travelers, an official invitation letter from the Italian company should be provided. The letter must be written on the company’s letterhead and must state the duration and the purpose of the visit.

- Holders of this visa are prohibited from enrolling in any of Italy's institutions of learning to take up a course of study.

Italy Student Visa Eligibility & Requirements
- Foreigners who want to pursue an educational course in Italy for more than 90 days will have to obtain a student visa.
- The Italy student visa is a long-term visa granted to students who have already been accepted for admission by a recognized higher educational institute in Italy.
- Student visas in Italy are issued by Italian Embassies and consular posts in a student's country of origin or permanent residence.
- All non-EU students are required to obtain a student visa prior to entering Italy.
- There are two types of student visas in Italy, depending on the duration of the study program.
- Visa type C is the short-stay visa or travel visa valid for one or more entries and for a period not exceeding 90 days.

- All the documents to be submitted should be provided in original and copy.
