Basic Travel Requirements for Indonesians visiting Bangladesh

Travelers are required to fulfill the following requirements in order to apply for a Bangladeshi Visa.


  • An original Indonesian passport valid for at least 3 months at the time you wish to enter Bangladesh is required. Your passport should also have 2 blank pages for the visa stamp.
  • A duly completed and signed visa application form.
  • If the applicant is a minor, the parents/legal guardians have to sign the form.
  • Passport-sized photographs (35 mm x 45 mm) taken in white or light grey background.
  • Travel document.
  • Proof of financial support.
  • Proof of accommodation.
  • Copy of return flight ticket.
  • Documentation showing applicant’s ties to the home country, e.g. verification from the applicant’s employer.

Bangladesh offers tourists a lot of tourist attraction with a wide range of activities. If you are in possession of more than $5,000 or its equivalent on entry to Bangladesh, you are required to declare. You cannot leave the country with more than the amount of USD you took in with you and you cannot leave the country with 5,000 Bangladeshi takas. Avoid taking photographs of military and government buildings.
