  • Indonesians traveling to Equatorial Guinea for tourism purposes are required to apply for a tourist visa.
  • Proof of vaccination for yellow fever and polio required. A polio booster dose is required for those who have completed the normal series of polio vaccines.
  •  It is increasingly common to be asked for proof of vaccination upon entry, and immigration officials may require you to be vaccinated at the airport (potency and sterility of items is always questionable) or bar entry into the country for those who do not comply with the requirements.
  • Visitors staying more than 90 days should register at a local police station.
  • Private ships landing at Equatoguinean ports must get clearance prior to approaching the shore. 
  • Generally, the police are responsive to reports of crimes by foreigners, but it is common to be asked to pay a substantial sum of money (between $50 to $100) in order to file a police report or obtain a copy of a police report on file.
  • In the recent past, a special permit from the Ministry of Information and Tourism was required.
  • A certificate of good conduct issued by the local authority of residence is required and will have a validity of 6 months from the date of issuance.  The certificate will be in English, French or Spanish.
  • An invitation letter duly formalized by the Immigration authorities of Equatorial Guinea containing the applicant’s name and passport number must be provided. The letter will have a validity of 3 weeks after issuance.

  • The Equatorial business visa is available to Indonesians traveling to the country for business purposes.
  • Applicants are required to provide a cover letter from the host company.
  • The covering letter provided by the company should be accepted based on the following conditions:

    • It must contain the traveler's as well as the company's information and should be issued on the company's letterhead along with the official seal and signature.
  • Applicants are also required to provide a bank statement.
  • The bank statement is a mandatory document and it should meet the following criteria:
    • It must reflect sufficient balance in the savings bank account.
    • It must be original and should have the bank's stamp and signature on every page.
  • A letter of invitation from the host company in Equatorial Guinea must be provided.
  • The letter of invitation from the company submitted should match the following criteria:
    • It must contain the signature of the authority along with the designation, name of the company and the stamp.
    • It must mention the contact details, the purpose of travel, sponsorship details, and other important documents.
