Basic Travel Requirements for Indonesians visiting France
Travelers are required to fulfill the following requirements in order to apply for a French Visa.
- A duly completed and signed visa application form.
- Two recent passport photographs(35mm x 45mm) taken in a light grey or light blue background should be provided.
- A passport valid at least three months beyond the applicant's exit date from France.
- The valid passport must have at least 2 blank pages for the visa stamps.
- Proof of accommodation in Indonesia should be provided.
- A proof of booked round trip flight ticket and itinerary.

France Tourist Visa Eligibility & Requirements
- This visa is issued to foreigners who are traveling to France for tourism, family reunion, sightseeing, and relaxation purposes.
- Those visiting the country to honor the invitation of a friend or relative are to provide an invitation letter from the host.
- The letter should contain the valid phone number and home address of the host.

France Business Visa Eligibility & Requirements
- The French business visa is issued to Indonesians who wish to travel to France for business reasons.
- This visa is not to be used for tourism and educational purposes.
- The French business visa allows its holders to attend seminars, trade fairs, and conferences related to their professional activities while in France.
- Business travelers are allowed to negotiate and sign contracts and attend business meetings with their partners while in the country.
- A invitation letter from the French company they are visiting in France is required.
- The letter should state the nature of the business to be carried out and the duration of the trip.
- If employed, applicants are required to present a letter from their employer stating allowance and awareness of their leave.
- The purpose and duration of the trip should be clearly stated in the letter. The letter should also contain the applicant's job position and salary level.
- Regarding the applicant’s expenses while in France, either the employer or the partner company in France must state coverage of expenses in the business letter.
- If there have previous trade relations between the host and sponsoring company, proof of such events must be provided.
- Applicants are required to leave the country on or before the expiration of their visas.
France Student Visa Eligibility & Requirements
- France student visa is issued to foreign students from Indonesia who have been accepted into any of the academic institutions in France.
- It is also for students on student exchange programs, Internships or students who are on transfer from academic institutions in Indonesia.
- Indonesians who have not been granted admission into any institution in France will not be granted this visa.
- A letter of acceptance from the institution the applicant has been accepted to, written on the institution’s letterhead is to be provided.
- A print out of your Campus France ID number
- Certificates and transcripts obtained from schools previously attended by the applicant in and out of Indonesia are required.
- If you are under the age of 18 years, the original copy of your birth certificate carrying both names of your parents should be provided.
- If you will be traveling without either of your parents, a letter of consent signed by both parents is required.
- International students in France are permitted to work part-time when school is in session and full-time when the school is on break.
- The student visa can be extended to cover the duration of the applicant’s study program.
- A proof of sufficiency is required during the application process.
- Proof of medical insurance with coverage valid in France
- Copy of your round-trip airline ticket (if you are studying for six months or less) or a one-way ticket if you are studying in France for more than six months)
France Work Visa Eligibility & Requirements
- The French work visa is available for Indonesians who have gained employment in France.
- An original Indonesian passport that was issued in the last ten years beyond the duration of stay in France is required.
- Your employer is required to apply for a work visa on your behalf, at the local Ministry of Labour.
- You might be required to show evidence of your travel plans including pre-booked return flights.
- A proof of payment for your application is required.
- If you’re working in France for less than 90 days:
- Your employer is required to get you a temporary work permit approved by the French Ministry of Labour, the DIRECCTE (Direction regionale des entreprises, de la concurrence et de la consummation, du travail et de l’emploi), or a convention d’accueil stamped by the local prefecture (French local authority/administrative office).
- If you’re planning on working in France for more than 90 days/3 months:
- you must apply for a long-stay work visa in France, which also acts as your residence permit.
- Your employer has to draw up a work contract and send it to the local division of the French Ministry of Labour, the DIRECCTE (Direction regionale des entreprises, de la concurrence et de la consummation, du travail et de l’emploi). If any family members will be coming with you, then the employer will need to start the ‘accompanying family member’ procedure at the same time.
- Employees who have family members coming with them can have their employer start the “accompanying family member” procedure at the same time as the worker’s application.
