- The Irish tourist visa is issued to Indonesians with intentions to visit Ireland for the purpose of tourism or pleasure trips or to visit friends and family members residing in Ireland.
- The Irish tourist visa is also known as a Type C short-stay visa.
- There are two types of Irish tourist visa:
- Single-entry visa: this visa goes for 60 Euros.
- Multiple-entry visa: this visa goes for 100 Euros.
- Although Ireland is a member of the European Union, it has an opt-out from the Schengen Area and is, therefore, able to set its own visa policy.
- Applicants are required to provide an invitation letter from the host they are visiting in Ireland.
- Applicants are required to provide satisfactory evidence that you intend to return to your country of residence after your visit.
- Applicants are required to provide evidence that they are able to fully support themselves financially during the entire period of stay in Ireland. This must come in the form of a detailed bank statement covering a six-month period.
- Currency restrictions for entry into and exit out of Ireland are 10,000 Euros.
- If your application for a visa is approved, you are required to get travel/medical insurance before you travel.
- You will not be allowed to enter Ireland without it. In other cases, you may be asked to submit proof of travel/medical insurance before a visa is granted.
- An immigration officer at border control can refuse your entry even if you have a visa.

- The Irish student visa is issued to Indonesians intending to travel to Ireland for study purposes.
- There are two types of Irish student visa:
- Type C student visa – this visa is for any study program/course that lasts less than three months.
- Type D student visa – this visa is available to students who applied for a course that lasts longer than three months.
- Applicants are required to provide a letter of acceptance from a recognized school or college or university in Ireland confirming that they have been accepted on a course of study. This course of study must be full-time (lasting an academic year) and have a minimum of 15 hours per week study time.
- Students must provide proof that they have enough funds (€7,000) to maintain themselves for the initial part of their stay.
- Evidence that you or a sponsor have access to at least €7,000 for each subsequent year of your studies, in addition to the course fees for each of those years must also be provided.
- Those who apply successfully can remain in Ireland for 12 months from the day they received their exam results to find employment.
- For students completing a postgraduate program, they could be permitted to stay for 24 months in total after graduation.
- The tuition fees you will pay in Ireland will vary depending on where you choose to study and where you are from. Ireland operates a Free Fees Initiative for full-time undergraduate study. On average you should expect to pay between €5,000 and €10,000 per year.
- International students must meet minimum English language requirements in order to be granted a student immigration permission.
- You will be required to provide proof of English language proficiency through an internationally recognized certificate that has been issued within two years of the expected start date of the course to be considered valid.
