Basic Travel Requirements for Indonesians visiting Liechtenstein

Travelers are required to fulfill the following requirements in order to apply for a Liechtensteiner Visa.


  • A duly filled visa application form is required
  • 4 recent passport-sized photographs(45mm x35mm) should be provided.
  • An original Indonesian passport and other travel documents valid for at least 3 months after the intended visit with at least 2 blank pages to affix visas.
  • A copy of the return/onward ticket for your trip should be provided.
  • A detailed covering letter mentioning the details of the applicants, travel, and details of the other members traveling with you.
  • Hotel reservation(s) for the duration of your visit.
  • Applicant's most recent monthly bank statement clearly showing the applicant's name as the account holder, the balances of the account, and the date of the statement.
  • If the statements are printed online then it has to be Authenticated(stamped) by the bank officials.
  • If the applicant is employed:
    • A letter from your employer on company letterhead, with contact details, stating that a leave of absence has been granted, purpose and duration of the trip, and that you will be returning to your current job.
    • current bank statement of at least 6 months
    • Income Tax Return (ITR)
    • Original payslips
  • If the applicant is Self Employed:
    • Include a copy of your business license
    • Company bank statement of the latest 6 months
    • Income Tax Return (ITR).
  • If the applicants are a student:
    • Submit an official letter from your school indicating that you are in good standing and that you are registered for the upcoming semester.
  • A minimum cover of EUR 30,000 as travel insurance covering the cost of repatriation for medical reasons and the Certificate of Currency must be issued by an insurance company operating in Australia or within the EU.
  • You can also provide a letter from the bank confirming that you have insurance with them along with a copy of the credit card and the table of benefits.

Liechtenstein is a mountainous country located between Austria and Switzerland. Avoid drug-related activities in the country, hefty fines are handed out to defaulters. Taking photographs of military and government buildings is highly prohibited. You will not be allowed entry to the country if you are in possession of more than 10,000 Swiss Franc. You also cannot leave the country with more than this amount.
