Basic Travel Requirements for Indonesians visiting Sweden

Travelers are required to fulfill the following requirements in order to apply for a Swedish Visa.


  • An original Indonesian passport valid for at least three months is required.
  • The passport should have at least two blank pages for visa stamps.
  • Two(2) identical passport photographs(35mm x 45mm) taken on a white background are required.
  • A duly completed and signed visa application form should be submitted.
  • A copy of round trip tickets and itineraries should be provided.
  • Medical travel insurance that covers the entire trip is required.
  • Original copies of bank statements from the past 3 months.
  • Copy of hotel reservations or accommodation.
  • A letter of invitation is required if you are visiting friends or family
    • the letter should contain the contact information of the host, purpose of visit and duration of this visit, signature, and date.
  • Proof of your host's status in Sweden is required and this could be in form of:
    • copy of their Swedish passport information page.
    • Copy of their Swedish residence permit and their national passport's information page if they are not citizens of Sweden.
  • The visa collection time is 9:00 am to 2:00 pm (Mondays - Fridays) except for public holidays.
