Entry Requirements

  • Citizens of Ivory Coast are exempted from travelling to Cape Verde with a visa for a variable period of 90 days provided they possess a valid passport.
  • The passport must have at least 2 blank pages for entry stamps and be valid for at least 6 months after the planned departure date from Cape Verde.
  • Visitors are expected to tender proof of Yellow Fever vaccination on arrival into the country.
  • Visitors are not permitted to import local currencies, there are no restrictions on foreign currencies provided they are declared on arrival.
  • Visitors are expected to pay an airport tax of CVE 3,400  on arrival.
  • Ivorians are required to provide proof of accommodation. This could be in the form of a confirmed hotel reservation or an invitation letter from a host.
  • They are also to provide proof of sufficient funds to sustain entire their stay in the country.
  • There are restrictions on the quantity of alcohol and tobacco brought into the country.
  • For travellers with pets, an International Veterinary Health Certificate, issued by the official veterinary authority of Ivory Coast is to be tendered.
  • The pet’s passport including the registration of a valid anti-rabies vaccination is also required.
