Entry Requirements

  • Passport holders from Ivory Coast can stay in Guinea without a visa for a variable period of at least 30 days depending on the Embassy's decision.
  • The passport must be valid for at least six months beyond the planned period of stay in Guinea
  • It must also have at least one blank page for entry stamp.
  • A current Yellow Fever Vaccination certificate is required for visitors above nine months of age.
  • A  flight confirmation from a travel agency or return ticket is also required.
  • Citizens of Ivory Coast must provide proof of accommodation for the duration of their trip either through confirmed hotel reservation or invitation letter from host.
  • Visitors are not expected to declare proof of financial capability to support their stay.
  • Visitors staying for more than the stipulated visa-free duration will have to acquire an Alien Registration Card (ARC) from the Immigration Department in Conakry.
  • There are no taxes levied upon the visitor’s entry or departure from the airport.
  • Restrictions are placed on the amount of tobacco and alcohol brought into the country.
  • Currency restrictions are placed on the exit of currencies of no more than 100,000 GNF or $50,000 USD.
  • Penalties for possessing, using or trafficking illegal drugs in Guinea are severe.
  • Military equipment pornographic materials, products containing abestos and live animals/fresh meat are prohibited from being imported into the country.
  • Homosexual activities are prohibited in Guinea.
