Basic Travel Requirements for Ivorians visiting Netherlands

Travelers are required to fulfill the following requirements in order to apply for a Dutch Visa.


  • Ivorian international passport with least two blank pages and a minimum validity of three months before the visa applicant’s planned exit from the country. The passport must have been issued within the last 10 years.
  • Previously issued visas and copies of all pages with entry and exit stamps.
  • Completed and signed the Schengen visa application form. Everyone travelling to the Netherlands requires a separate visa application irrespective of if they are accompanying a visa applicant.
  • Two passport-sized photographs showing the full-face of the visa applicant. The passport must be taken with a light background and must bear a clear resemblance to the visa applicant.
  • Bank statement from the applicant’s bank in Ivory Coast from the previous three months prior to visa application.
  • Valid travel insurance which is valid for the duration of your stay in the Schengen area. The insurance must have at least €30,000of medical costs which include hospital care, emergency treatment, and repatriation.
  • Payment of the visa application fees. If you make your application through an external service provider, you pay the costs.
  • Hotel reservation for the duration of your stay in the Netherlands.
  • Travel itinerary.
