Travelers are required to fulfill the following requirements in order to apply for a Portuguese Visa.
- Original Ivorian passport with a validity of at least 3 months from the intended period of exiting the country. The passport should have at least two blank pages for the necessary stamp.
- A well-filled visa application form signed by the applicant.
- Two recent passport-sized photographs with a white background. The photos should follow the specification for a visa application.
- Original copy of bank statement from the past three months prior to the period of visa application. This is proof of steady and continuous flow of funds.
- Travel insurance which has sufficient medical coverage. The insurance should be valid for the duration of your stay in the country.
- Proof of civil status.
- Proof of accommodation for the period you will be staying in the country.

Portugal Business Visa Eligibility & Requirements
- Eligible applicants of the Business Visa are businessmen and businesswomen travelling to Portugal to engage in business-related activities.
- During business meetings with business partners in the country, you are allowed to engage in the negotiation and signing of business contracts.
- Being a short-stay visa, your visa stay in Netherland is 90 days spreading over 180 days in the Schengen area.
- This visa allows foreign nationals to attend and participate in trade fairs, conferences, and business seminars in the country.
- This visa, being a Schengen visa, will be authoritatively issued by one of the members of the states of the Schengen Area for an intended short-stay in one or more Schengen countries.
- Currently, the Portuguese embassy in Abidjan is not functioning. Applicants are to apply for Portuguese visa in the neighbouring countries where Portugal has either or both embassy or consulate in.
- If you will be attending a conference while you are in Portugal, proof of registration and payment for the conference is required.
- An official letter of invitation from the inviting company in Portugal is required. The letter must state the duration and purpose of the applicant’s visit.
- The business letter must also state who will bear the cost of the applicant’s finances during his/her time in the country.
- A letter from the applicant’s employer in your own country stating the applicant’s job position, salary level and length of employment should be provided.
- Proof of previous business dealings between the host company and the sponsoring company should be provided, if any.
- Non-Citizen of Ivory Coast should ensure they are in possession of a copy of their Ivorian residence permit.
- You are not allowed to receive payment for any service you might render when in the country.
Portugal Tourist Visa Eligibility & Requirements
- This visa is issued to citizens of Ivory Coast travelling to Portugal for the purpose of tourism like sightseeing, recreation, relaxation, visiting family and friends, and honeymoon.
- This visa also allows foreigners to visit their friends or relations who hold permanent residency in the country.
- The visa is charged 60 Euros for adults, 35 Euros under 12year old and visa-free for children under the age of 5, just like any other EU visa fee on a short-stay visit to the EU countries.
- You can tour around other Schengen countries with this visa having visited the Netherlands.
- This visa is a short-stay of 90 days duration for a period of 180 days.
- Currently, the Portuguese embassy in Abidjan is not functioning. Applicants are to apply for Portuguese visa in the neighbouring countries where Portugal has either or both embassy or consulate in.
- Applicants of this visa who are visiting someone in Portugal are required to submit a letter of invitation from their host.
- If you are employed, a letter from your employer should be provided. The letter must be printed on the company’s letterhead and must confirm the awareness of your leave.
- Minors should ensure they are I possession of the original copy of their birth certificate while applying for this visa. If they are travelling without a parent, a notarized consent signed by both their parents is required.
- Citizens of the non-Ivory Coast applying for this visa should provide evidence of legal stay in the Ivory Coast.
- You are not eligible for any business activities with this visa. You are to apply for a business visa if you are to conduct business in the country.
- A cover letter which states in detail the purpose of your visit to Portugal should be provided.
- You must have the intention of leaving at/before the expiration of your visa life-span.
Portugal Medical Visa Eligibility & Requirements
- This visa is issued to foreign nationals travelling to Portugal for the purpose of seeking and receiving medical treatment.
- A medical diagnosis from the applicant’s doctor in Ivory Coast should be provided. The diagnosis should state in detail the nature of the applicant’s illness.
- A letter from the receiving medical institution in Portugal stating its willingness to treat the applicant is required.
- Any other correspondence between the medical institutions in Ivory Coast and Portugal should be provided.
- Applicants of this visa are required to provide proof that they can pay the medical bill and any other cost that may arise.
- If the applicant of this visa is a minor, the unabridged copy of the minor’s birth certificate is required.
- Currently, the Portuguese embassy in Abidjan is not functioning. Applicants are to apply for Portuguese visa in the neighbouring countries where Portugal has either or both embassy or consulate in.
- For people who reside in Ivory Coast but are not Ivorian citizens, they are to present their residence permit when applying.
- You should have the intention of leaving the country on or before your visa expiration.
