Basic Travel Requirements for Ivorians visiting Spain
Travelers are required to fulfill the following requirements in order to apply for a Spanish Visa.
- A valid international passport or travel document which continues to be valid three months after the projected date of leaving the territory of Spain. The passport or travel document must have been issued within the last 10 years.
- Original copy of visa application form (official form EX-01) duly filled and signed.
- Recent clear 4.5cmx3.5cm passport photograph which must not have been used in the passport. The photograph must be taken against a light background and must show the full face of the applicant.
- Accreditation of economic means. The minimum amount to be accredited for each traveller per day in Spain is €90 with a minimum of €180 or its equivalent in foreign currency.
- Return ticket or tourist circuit.
- Proof of place of lodging for the length of your stay in Spain. You could provide a document from a lodging establishment or a letter of invitation from an individual in Spain with the content of the letter confirming your accommodation.
- Confirmation of a booking or organized trip with a travel itinerary.
- Travel health insurance.

Spain Tourist Visa Eligibility & Requirements
- Foreign nationals with the aim of entering the territory of Spain for a short period of time are the eligible applicants of this tourist visa.
- This visa also satisfies the purpose of a private visit. A letter of invitation from the private individual you will be meeting up with should be provided if a private visitation is your main purpose of visiting.
- The visa is issued as a short-stay with a 90 days validity that spread over a period of 180 days.
- The visa is charged 60 Euro for adults, 35 euros for under 12 ages payable to the consulate except Minors(under 5year old children) are exempted from paying for the visa fee.
- The content of the letter of invitation must exclusively provide proof of the existence of suitable accommodation available to the Ivorian travelling to Spain.
- The document justifying the availability of accommodation to the foreigner must also state if that forms all or part of the support the host is willing to extend to the visitor.
- You are required to provide a confirmation of an organized trip.
- Foreigners are expected to have adequate economic resources for the duration of their stay in the country. The amount considered as appropriate is €90 per person per day or its equivalent in any currency.
- All those travelling to Spain must be in possession of a medical certificate which shows that they possess no health threat to anyone residing in Spain.
- In the case of the absence of the medical certificate, foreigners are subjected to undergo a medical examination upon their arrival at the border.

- Applicants are obligated to declare their entry into Spain before the Spanish police authorities as soon as they arrive in the country.
- In the case where there is no police post at the border, entry statement must be, made at any police station of the National Police or immigration Office within a maximum of three days of entry into the country.
- If you are staying in Spain for more than the allocated time on your visa, you may be refused entry into the country in the future.
- If the foreigner's document is Arabic, it must be translated to either English or Spanish language.
- Visitors are expected to leave the country at the end of their visa stay.

- You are required to own access cards to trade fairs, congresses, conventions, etc, you wish to attend during your time in the country.
- Invitations, entry cards, reservations or programs with indication, as far as possible, of the name of the inviting body and the duration of the applicant’s stay, should be provided.
- Applicants of this visa are required to have a document which indicates the purpose of their visit to Spain.
- The activities to be carried out in Spain by holders of this visa must not be aimed at generating income.
- Travellers to Spain should ensure they obtain a medical certificate from a medical institution in Ivory Coast before departing for Spain. Foreigners who do not have a medical certificate will have to undergo a mandatory medical examination upon arrival at the border.
- Foreigners whose criminal record certificate shows the presence of previous convictions will be refused entry into the country.
- If you have been previously expelled from Spain or any of the Schengen member states, you may not be granted entry into the country.
