Azerbaijan Tourist Visa Eligibility & Requirements

  • Kenyans who apply for the Tourist Visa are those who intend traveling to Azerbaijan for sightseeing, recreation, and relaxation purposes.

  • Applicants of this visa can visit friends and relatives Azerbaijan.

  • Holders of this visa can also attend events and festivals taking place in the country while they are there.

  • Kenyans are not eligible to get the Azerbaijan tourist E-visa (Electronic visa).

  • A letter of invitation containing the valid home address and telephone number of your host is required if you are visiting someone in Azerbaijan.

  • All foreigners visiting Azerbaijan for more than 10 days have to register with State Migration Service of Azerbaijan and this has to be done within the first 9 days after entering the territory of Azerbaijan. 

  • Applicant of the tourist visa are to submit an official Letter of Invitation (LOI) from a travel agency licensed by Azerbaijan Ministry of Culture and Tourism.

  • The Azerbaijan tourist visa is issued to Kenyans as a Single entry visa.

  • If your host will be financially responsible for you in the country, it should be stated in the letter of invitation.

  • Kenyans who are employed will require a letter from their employer stating their awareness of the  leave. The letter should be written on the company's letterhead and should also state the applicant's job status.

  • Applicants who are under the age of 18 are to provide the original copy of their birth certificate and a written consent signed by both parents.

  • proof of financial sufficiency  that can cover the applicant's duration of stay should be provided.

  • Proof that you have the incentive of returning to your home country after your visa expires is required.

  • A receipt that confirms payment of visa application fee should be submitted by  the applicant.

  • Applicants should submit a proof of accommodation or hotel reservation that will cover their duration of stay.

  • A medical certificate which serves as a proof of medical fitness should be submitted. It should indicate that the applicant is free from all communicable diseases.

  • Kenyans travelling with this visa are prohibited from being paid for the services they render during their time in Azerbaijan.

  • Applicants are expected to abide by all the rules guiding this visa.

  • The Azerbaijan tourist visa has a validity of 30 days.


Azerbaijan Business Visa Eligibility & Requirements

  • Business-oriented travelers who intend to engage in business activities during their stay in Azerbaijan are the eligible applicants of this visa.
  • This visa enables travelers to negotiate and sign business contracts with their partner company in the country.
  • Holders of this visa are also allowed to attend conferences, trade fairs, and business summits.
  • The Azerbaijan tourist visa is issued on a single ,double or multiple entry and applicants must indicate if they would be needing a single,double or multiple entry when applying for this visa.
  • The multi entry visa allows a stay of 180 days with a processing time of 5-7 days.
  • The certificate of registration for conferences that would be attended by applicants should be submitted if they intend attending conferences.
  • An invitation letter from the company in Azerbaijan written with the company’s letterhead is required to be submitted during visa application. The letter should state the duration and purpose of your visit to the country.
  • The company in Azerbaijan should state in the letter if it will be financially responsible for the applicant during his stay in the country.
  • Applicant's employer should provide a letter which states allowance and awareness of the business leave. Applicant's job position, the name of the company, and the duration of business leave should also be stated in the letter.
  • Certificate of business registration of the company in Azerbaijan should be submitted along with other documents.
  • For Applicants who are self employed or private business owners, their certificate of business registration and proof of tax payment for the last six months should be provided.
  • Proof of financial sufficiency for the applicant's duration of stay should be submitted.
  • If you are traveling with a minor, the unabridged original copy of the minor’s birth certificate and letter of consent from both parents is required.
  • A proof of incentive of returning to your country at the expiration of your visa is to be submitted by the applicant.
  • Applicants are to provide proof of paid visa application fee.
  • A proof of medical fitness which shows that the applicant is free from any communicable disease is required.
  • Foreigners are not allowed to take up paid or unpaid employment while they are in the country.

Azerbaijan Work Visa Eligibility & Requirements

  • Kenyans applying for the Work Visa intend to take up paid employment in Azerbaijan.
  • Applicants of this visa should ensure that they have been given employment in Azerbaijan before initiating the visa application process.
  • A letter confirming the applicant's employment in Azerbaijan should be presented. This letter should state the position you have been employed into and the address of the company.
  • A certificate of good conduct should be presented by the applicant as applicants who have had previous convictions may not be issued this visa.
  • Proof from your employer in Azerbaijan that there was no citizen who was qualified for the job is needed.
  • A document which serves as proof that you will not be paid below the minimum wage in Azerbaijan should also be provided.
  • A proof that the applicant will not be paid below the minimum wage should be submitted.
  • This visa will not be granted to applicants who do not have the right qualification that corresponds to the job they have been offered.
  • You are required to leave the country once your visa expires.
  • A medical certificate showing that the applicant is medically fit and  free from all communicable disease should be submitted..

Azerbaijan Transit Visa Eligibility & Requirements

  • This visa allows Kenyans to stay in Azerbaijan for a short period of time.
  • Applicants of this visa are those with the intention of transiting through Azerbaijan to their destination country.
  • Kenyan are required to present proof of visa/entry permit and flight ticket to their destination.
  • Holders of this visa are not allowed to work or study while they are in the country.
  • A document which shows that the applicant has the incentive of returning to his home country should be provided.
  • proof of payment for the visa application fee should be submitted by the applicant.
  • If you are a minor, a letter of consent signed by your parents should be provided. The original copy of your birth certificate is also required.
  • Kenyans with an Azerbaijan transit visa that have no notes or stamps on them are allowed to stay in Azerbaijan for up to 5 days.
  • Proof of medical showing that the applicant is free from all communicable disease.
  •  For applicants who will spend more than 24 hours in the country, proof of hotel reservation or accommodation for the applicants duration of stay should be provided.
  • This visa cannot be extended.
