Cameroon Tourist Visa Eligibility & Requirements
The tourist visa allows foreigners to visit the country for sightseeing, recreation and relaxation purposes. The application must be typed. Handwritten applications will not be accepted. Applicants are to provide a passport with a validity of at least 6 months from proposed date of return. If you have a host in the country, a letter of invitation from your host should be provided. The information in the letter should include the hosts home address, telephone number and valid means of identification. Holders of this visa are not allowed to take up a course to study in one of the institutions in the country. Applicants are to submit an International Certificate of Vaccination (ICV) for yellow fever. A copy of the applicants' most recent bank statement is required. The statement must clearly show the applicants' name as the account holder, the balances of the accounts, the date of the statement, and the complete transaction record for the month. If the applicant is visiting a host in the country as listed on the application form they will be required to provide a certificate of accommodation "certificat d'hebergement" which is undersigned and notarized by Administrative or Immigration authorities in Cameroon. For employed applicants, a letter written by their employer stating their awareness of applicants leave, job description and level. The letter should be written in the company’s letterhead. Applicants are to provide proof of financial sufficiency that covers his duration of stay. Applicants are to provide a copy of travel itinerary.. Applicants are to provide proof of yellow fever vaccination. You can attend events and festivals whilst you are in Cameroon. A letter from your employer in Kenya should be provided. Your employer should state that he/she has granted permission for your leave. Your status in the company and the length of your employment should be clearly stated in the letter. If you are under the age of 18 years, the unabridged original copy of your birth certificate should be submitted. You are also required to have a letter of consent signed by both your parents if you are traveling alone. A document showing that you have the incentive of returning to your country. This could be your child’s birth certificate or your original marriage certificate. Proof that payment for visa application has been made. Kenyans are not allowed to take up paid or unpaid employment during their time in Cameroon. Applicants are expected to abide by all the rules guiding this visa.
Cameroon Business Visa Eligibility & Requirements
Applicants of the Business Visa are business-oriented travelers who intend to engage in business activities in Cameroon. Business travelers can negotiate and sign business contracts, attend conferences, trade fairs, and business summits. Letter from the applicants' employer written on company’s letterhead, introducing the applicant, indicating the applicant’s position in the company and clearly stating the purpose of visit to Cameroon. Three month and six month business visas are issued only when prior approval has been obtained by the Administrative or Immigration Authority in Cameroon. Visas must be used within 90 days from the date of issue. Visas are generally issued for multiple entries, and are valid for 30 days from the date of entry. A letter of invitation from the company in Cameroon is required. The duration of your trip and the purpose of the visit should be stated. Certificate of business registration of the company in Cameroon is required. If the company in Cameroon is going to be responsible for your finances in the country, it should be clearly stated in the letter of invitation. For applicants who are self employed, a copy of business registration should be provided. All fees paid for the visa application are non-refundable irrespective of the outcome of the application. Proof of previous business dealings with the company should be provided if any. Receipt of payment of visa application fee should be provided. Kenyans should have proof that they have the incentive of returning to their country at the expiry of their visa. Applicants of these visa are advised to be vaccinated against yellow fever before applying.
