Basic Travel Requirements for Kenyans visiting Croatia

Travelers are required to fulfill the following requirements in order to apply for a Croatian Visa.

    • A Kenyan passport valid for at least 6 months from the intended arrival date and must have 2 blank pages for visa stamp.

    • Duly completed and signed visa application form.

    • The parents/legal guardians have to sign the form if the applicant is a minor.

    • Three passport-size photographs (4.5 x 3.5 cm) taken on a white background.

    • Travel document must be completely provided.

    • Proof of financial capability.

    • Proof of accommodation/hotel reservations.

    • Copy of return flight ticket.

Croatia Tourist Visa Eligibility & Requirements

  • Kenyans can visit Croatia with the tourist visa for the purpose of sightseeing, recreation, and relaxation.
  • Kenyans with the intention of visiting friends and family can travel on this visa.
  • A letter of invitation from your host in the country should be provided. The letter should contain the valid home address and telephone number of your host.
  • Kenyans with a Schengen visa are allowed to travel to Croatia.
  • Kenyans with a tourist visa of a menber state of the  Schengen area can travel to Croatia using the visa obtained from the Schengen country.
  • Foreigners cannot take up paid or unpaid employment during your time in the country.
  • You can attend festivals and events.
  • Applicants are to provide a certificate of medical insurance that cover the applicants duration of stay or its equivalent of 30,000 euros
  • Air ticket reservation, including return flight (the original ticket may be required at the collection of the visa) or proof of other means of transport to be used (if travelling by private car: copy of international driver’s license and car license) should be submitted by applicant.
  • In cases of Kenyans with the the intention of travelling with a travel agency(organised tourism ) , the confirmation of booking of organized trip from host company (i.e. voucher)is required.
  • If the confirmation of booking does not include proof of prepayment; proof of pre-/down-payment is required.
  • A letter from your employer in Kenya should be provided. The letter should contain information which includes the company’s address, your position in the company, the duration of your employment, and the duration of your leave.
  • A copy of stay permit in Kenya for non-Kenyans is required.
  • If you are under the age of 18, the original copy of your birth certificate should be presented. A letter of consent signed by both parents of the minor should be provided.
  • Foreigners should have proof of the incentive of returning to their country at the expiry of their visa.
  • Proof of hotel reservation and accommodation that covers applicants duration of stay.
  • Receipt of paid visa application fee payment should be submitted by applicants.
  • Kenyans cannot work in the country with this visa.
  • You cannot seek public funds.

Croatia Business Visa Eligibility & Requirements

  • This visa is for business travelers who intend to engage in business activities in Croatia.

  • Businessmen and businesswomen in the country can meet up with business partners to negotiate and sign business contracts.

  • Holders of this visa may attend conferences, trade fairs, and business summits while they are in the country.

  • Kenyans who plan to attend conferences in the country are required to present a proof of registration for the conference and proof of paid fees for the conference.

  • A copy of corporate agreements, the Kenyan firm statutes, or the volume of transactions between the Kenyan and Croatian companies concerned.

  •  For Kenyans who are private entrepreneurs, a copy of Kenya PIN Certificate; most recent tax statement must be submitted.

  • Applicants are to provide a certificate of medical insurance that cover the applicants duration of stay or its equivalent of 30,000 euros.

  • A letter of invitation from the company you are meeting with in Croatia should be presented during the visa application process. The letter should have the company’s address, the purpose, and duration of your visit.

  • A letter from your employer stating awareness of your business visit to Croatia should be provided. The letter should provide information which includes your position in the company, how long you have been employed, the purpose of your visit, as well as, the duration of your visit.

  • Certificate of business registration of the company in Croatia is required.

  • If the responsibility of your expenses in the country will be taken up by your employer or the partner company, it should be stated in the letter provided.

  • Proof of any previous business dealings between you and the company you are meeting with should be provided if any.

  • Holders of the business visa are not allowed to be paid for the services they render in the country.

  • Kenyans in the country with this visa are not allowed to study.

  • Non-Kenyans are required to provide a copy of their Kenyan stay permit.

Croatia Student Visa Eligibility & Requirements

  • This visa is for students willing to study in one of the institutions of learning in the country.
  • Applicants must have been accepted into the institution of their choice before they start the visa application process.
  • You are required to present the letter of admission from the school you have been accepted to. The course which the applicant has been admitted to and the duration of the program should be stated in the letter.
  • Applicant's personal data, course/research description should be provided.
  • The name and position of the person or organization responsible for the applicant's financial support during his/her stay in Croatia should be submitted.
  • Certificates and transcripts gotten from previously attended schools should be provided.
  • A copy of the Kenyan stay permit is required for non-Kenyans.
  • Students can study for up to 20 hours per week when school is in session and full-time when school is on break.
  • Foreigners may be granted an extension to this visa to cover the duration of your study in the country.
  • At the expiry of the visa, students are expected to leave the country.
  • The unabridged original copy of minor’s birth certificate should be provided during the visa application process. A letter of consent signed by both the parents of the minor should be provided.
  • Holders of this visa cannot seek public funds.
  • Proof of payment of visa application fee is required.

Croatia Medical Visa Eligibility & Requirements

  • Kenyans seeking medical attention from a hospital in Croatia are the ones eligible for this visa.
  • Applicants are to provide a  letter drafted and signed within the last 3 months by the applicant's treating doctor in Kenya providing background information about current medical treatment and confirming the need of specific medical treatment to be provided in Croatia.
  • A medical attestation from the hospital or doctor in Croatia, confirming the date of appointment as well as your medical situation is required.
  • If you are employed, you should provide proof that your employer is aware of your leave. This may be stated in a letter written with the company’s letterhead and signed by your employer.
  • A letter stating who will be financially responsible for the applicant during his medical stay in Croatia.
  • Retirees should have a pension statement from the last 6 months.
  • Proof of payment of medical fees should be provided.
  • Minors must ensure they possess the original copy of their birth certificate. If they are traveling alone or with one of their parents, a document of consent which is signed by both parents of the minor should be provided.
  • You are not allowed to work while you are in the country.
  • At the end of your treatment, you are expected to leave the country.
  • Holders are not allowed to take up permanent residence.
