How to get a Niger visa from Kenya

• The tourist visa is eligible for Kenyans going to Niger for short visits, vacations or adventures.
• This visa can also serve as the Visitor Visa. Foreigners who have been invited to Niger by their friends and relative are eligible for this visa.
• You need a tourist visa to enter Niger, but it is also possible for you to get visa on arrival.
• The following documentation must be provided;

- Three identical 35mm x 45mm passport-sized photograph s.

- A valid passport with at least one blank page

- Three filled out and signed visa application.

• A letter of invitation from your host is required if you are visiting someone in Niger. The letter should introduce the applicant and also state the relationship between the applicant and the host.
• Proof of accommodation bookings must be provided if the applicant isn't staying with friends or relatives.
• If there are events and festivals in the country the applicant of this visa would like to attend, he/she can do so on this visa.
• A letter from the applicant’s employer in Kenya is required. The letter should contain the name and job position of the applicant. It should be written on the company’s letterhead and addressed to the Embassy of Niger.
• If the applicant is not a Kenyan, a copy of the Kenyan residence permit is required.
• If you are under the age of 18 years, you are required to provide the original copy of your birth certificate that carries the names of both parents.
• An International Vaccination Certificate must be provided. It must prove that you are vaccinated against yellow fever and cholera.
• Applicant must provide a letter from the travel agent stating that a round trip ticket was purchased.
• A letter from the bank showing that the applicant must have at least $500 in his/her saving account must be provided.
• Proof of payment of visa application should be provided.
• Niger is not a particularly safe country for tourist, it is not advisable to travel there. But if you want to, you should take extra precaution.
• Kenyans in Niger are not allowed to take up paid or unpaid employment or engage in business activities.
• You are not allowed to seek public funds in Niger.

• The business visa is eligible for Kenyans to visit Niger for business activities.
• Businessmen and businesswomen are allowed to negotiate and sign business contracts with their partners during business meetings.
• An original visa with at least six months validity must be provided by applicants
• Foreigners in Niger on this visa are not prohibited from attending trade fairs, business summits, and conferences.
• A letter from the applicant’s employer in Kenya should be provided. The letter should be addressed to the Embassy of Niger and signed by a senior manager.
• The letter should introduce the applicant and state the nature of the business to be conducted. If the applicant is meeting more than one company, the names and addresses of the companies should be stated.
• The letter should also show the following;

- Purpose of trip.

- Activities to be performed during the trip.

- Source of financial responsibility or expenses to be covered by the applicant's company or host company.

- Duration of stay.

• An official letter of invitation from the host company in Niger should be provided. The letter should be written on the company’s letterhead and signed by an authorized signatory of the company.
• The letter should state the duration and nature of the business to be carried out. The valid contact address of the company should be included in the letter.
• Proof of any previous dealings between the sponsoring and the host company should be provided, if any.
• Proof of travel insurance must be provided, this shows that expenses of the trip and stay in Niger are all covered.
• Proof of return ticket and accommodation bookings must be provided.
• Receipt of paid visa application fee is required.
• Applicants are required to leave Niger once the duration of stay has expired.
• Foreigners are expected to return to their home country after their visa expires.
• Kenyans in Niger on the Business Visa are not allowed to receive payments for the services they render.

• This visa is issued to foreigners with the aim of transiting through Niger to their destination country.
• The Transit Visa allows foreigners to make short stops in the country.
• Visa and other entry permits of the destination country are required.
• Flight ticket of the destination country should be provided.
• This visa does not allow foreigners to take up paid or unpaid employment while they are in the country.
• If you are under the age of 18 years, the original copy of your birth certificate is required. If you are traveling without supervision, a notarized consent signed by both your parents should be provided.
• Traveling from Kenya to Niger and from Niger back to Kenya is not regarded as transit.
• Foreigners cannot be granted an extension to this visa.
• Kenyans should ensure they leave the country before the expiry of the visa.
