Travelers are required to fulfill the following requirements in order to apply for a Paraguayan Visa.

  • Original Kenyan passport which has a validity of six months from the period of exiting the country. The passport should have two blank pages.

Paraguay is a landlocked country often ignored by travelers. The country is a hidden-gem in tourism. Contrary to popular opinion, there are a number of exciting things for tourists to do during their vacation in Paraguay. Tourists who like adventure and practice of extreme sports will feel at home in the country as there are infrastructures that support this. Zip-lining, rappelling, and hiking through virgin forests can be done here. Tourists in the country can also visit one of the flowing rivers which have perfect conditions for fishing, tour, and excursions. Tourists are sure to be engaged in one activity or the other during their time in Paraguay.
 
Paraguay is one of the least visited countries in South America. The visit of tourists to the country in 2011 was a 12% increase over the number of tourists that visited in 2010. The number in 2010 was 465,264 which rose to 520,926 in 2011. In recent times, the number of visits to the country has increased as the country hosted over 1.2 million tourists in 2015.

Paraguay Business Visa Eligibility & Requirements

  • This visa allows Kenyans visiting Paraguay to engage in various business activities.
  • Business travelers are permitted to attend conferences, trade fairs, and business summits while they are in the country.
  • Applicants who plan to attend conferences in the country are advised to register for the conference before they leave Kenya. The certificate of registration should be submitted with the necessary documents required.
  • Other documentations needed are:
    • Two passport-sized photographs - must be recent and of  50  x 70 mm dimension.
    • One copy of proof of residence, for example, your driver's license, birth or marriage certificate, etc.
    • An original copy of your passport. Ensure the passport is valid for at least 6 months beyond the completion of your trip.
    • Certificate of business registration of the Kenyan company involved.
    • One copy of flight itinerary showing the time, dates, activities, and entry and exit details from Paraguay. 
  • A letter from your company stating the actual purpose of your trip to Paraguay and the intended duration of stay. This letter must be written on the company's letterhead.
  • Minors should ensure the original copy of their birth certificate is submitted alongside the other required documents. A letter of consent signed by both their parents is also needed.
  • Applicants cannot be paid for the services they render while they are in the country.
  • Foreigners should ensure they have been vaccinated against yellow fever before their travel. Immunization against malaria is also important.

Paraguay Transit Visa Eligibility & Requirements

  • A visa is not needed for Kenyans to transit through Paraguay.
  • Travelers intending to board a connecting flight from Paraguay to their final destination are required to provide the flight ticket to their destination.
  • Visa and other entry permits to the destination country should also be provided.
  • Transit travelers in Paraguay are not allowed to work or study while they are in the country.
  • If you are a minor, a letter of consent signed by both your parents should be provided. The original copy of your birth certificate is also required.
  • All travelers are advised to be vaccinated against yellow fever before departing their country.
  • You should be ready to leave the country once your 24-hour stay is up.

  • The Paraguay tourist visa is for Kenyans intending to visit Paraguay for tourism and leisure.
  • The Paraguayan tourist visa is a single-entry visa that is valid for 90 days from the date of entry.
  • Applicants of this visa will need to gather the following documents:
    • Two copies of documents proving legal stay in Kenya, for example, a copy of birth certificate.
    • Two recent 50 x 70 mm passport-sized photographs taken in white background.
    • An original copy of your passport valid for at least six months beyond the intended period of stay.
