How to get a Uruguay visa from Kenya

• The Uruguay tourist visa is issued to foreigners visiting Uruguay for the purpose of sightseeing, recreation and relaxation.
• The tourist visa is valid for three months, and it is also extendable for another three months.
• The following documents are required:
• Valid passport of three months beyond intended stay.
• One 2 x 2'' passport-size photo.
• References in Uruguay (name, address and phone number)
• Hotel booking confirmation.
• Return ticket and travel itinerary, including the flight number and the dates of arrival and departure.
• Postal applications should be accompanied by a stamped, self-addressed envelope.
• For business visits, a letter from the company in the country of origin.

• A letter from your employer stating that he/she is aware of your business trip is required. The letter should state the address of the company, your job status, and the duration of your business leave.
• An official letter of invitation from your partner company in Uruguay stating the duration and the purpose of your visit. The letter should be written on the company’s letterhead and signed by an authorized signatory.
• If you are self-employed, the certificate of business registration and a copy of your Income Tax Return should be submitted.
• If the partner company or employer will be responsible for the applicant’s finances, it should be clearly stated in the letter from the partner company.
• Proof of any business dealings between the applicant and the company in Uruguay should be provided.
• Receipt of payment of visa application fee should be provided.
• Kenyans should have proof that they have the incentive of returning to their country at the expiry of their visa.
• Applicants cannot receive payment for the services they render in the country.
