Basic Travel Requirements for Laotians visiting Chad
Travelers are required to fulfill the following requirements in order to apply for a Chadian Visa.
- A passport valid for at least 6 months from the intended arrival date and must have 2 blank pages for visa stickers.
- Duly completed and signed visa application form.
- Recently taken passport-sized photographs (2x2 inches) in size and taken in white background.

- The Chad tourist visa is a visa issued to Laotians visiting Chad for tourism, visitation, sight-seeing, tour and other recreational purposes.
- Chad tourist visa is valid for a duration of 90 days and it can be extendable if a need for an extension arises.
- A certificate of yellow fever vaccination is required for foreigners traveling to Chad.

- The Chadian business visa is a visa issued to foreigners who intend to visit Chad for business purposes.
- Laotians in Chad on a business visa can attend seminars, exhibitions, trade fairs, sign business deals and meet with business associates.
- A business letter of invitation from the company in Chad is required.
- The letter should be printed on company’s letterhead, addressed to the Embassy of Chad and contain the entry and exit dates of the applicant.
- A fully completed and signed Chadian business visa application form is required.
- A passport with six months validity and blank pages for visa stamps is required.
- The applicant previously used passport is required. This is needed to track the applicant’s travel history.
- A letter written by the applicant's employer in Laos is needed. The letter should introduce the applicant by specifying his/her current job position in the company, the nature of the business to be conducted while in Chad, the names and addresses of companies to be contacted in Chad and the duration of stay.
- A letter stating in the company in Chad or the applicant's employer in Laos is sponsoring the business trip must also be submitted.
- A letter from the applicant’s employer Laos is required. The letter must state that the employer is aware of the trip the applicant is going on.
- Recent bank statements to show proof of financial status while in Chad.
- Proof of previous business dealings between the company in Chad and the company in Laos is required.
- A certificate of yellow fever vaccination and a medical certificate stating that the applicant is free from contagious diseases is required.
